  • @Odetoxo

U don't have to switch your tranny, unless u have the stock ls tranny, because it's gears are too long, so it's not good for "racing"

  • @adriandagangster not true if ur turbo u want longer LS gears to ride out the boost!

  • does anyone know how much a K20a2 ENGINE WITH A TURBO AND SKUNK 2 COLD AIR INTAKE WOULD COST IM GOING TO PUT IT ON MY ACURA INTEGRA BUT I NEED A NEW ENGINE SO MY CAR DOESNT DIE BECAUSE RIGH NOW I ONLY HAVE A b18b1

  • jdoggydog567.... The rough sound I think it comes to the fact that the car was started at open header. :-)

  • ah ok still awesome though i have a b18b1 in my 93 intgra with headers, cold air intake, and everything, the only i dont like is its an automatic :( but it still keeps up with the turbo hondas in town :) i have the same color head too lol

  • nice but sounds a little rough though

  • honda power

  • btw nice build to the owner of this car.....

  • any b series head fit on top of the ls motor...b16, b18c1 and 5 type r which is better but not worth the money if ur broke like me...lol

  • they say the b16 and b18c5/type r flow better stock. But i f you port them it wont matter. The b18c1/gsr has higher compression which is why i have choose it for my b20/vtec build.

  • Thanks buddy! The engine is out of the car and a K20 is on its way to the engine bay.:-)

Should be up in a few months!

  • You can put a 16 head on a 18 block? I am bout to rebuild a B18B1 engine myself,

  • Yes you can. Some people perfer it because the B16a2 head actually had better air flow then the B18c1 Vtec head did.

  • yes it does cause thats the setup i run on my car

  • Is it true that If you fully build an LS/Vtec that there very reliable? I know that stock LS/Vtec will blow up on you in a couple of months if redlined everyday. I just wanted to know because i am building an Fully Built LS/Vtec Turbo and i will be running around 400-450whp on low boost. Gettting it build by CFT.

  • @evoknight my LS/vtec has been running in my eg hatch for the past 11 years, no problem. no oil leaks what so ever. runs like a champ still. like any motor it has its wear and tear. too much road trips up and down cali. imma drop in a fresh set of CTR pistons. this will boost the performance up again. build it right and it will do you good.

  • I totally agree man. I compleletly believe that!

  • if you dont know what heads will line up i wouldnt start messing around with under the hood stuff yet buddy... read a manual or 3 first

  • fuck you dude. i have been building them for years. it was a legitimate question.

  • HondaBender... Short answer! Yes! That is called a LS/VTEC build. I made 200 WHP with two broken piston tops. The car was still making compression even thou pistons 2 and 3 were chipped.

Please read a lot before doing the VTEC head swap for the correct parts and modifications. You will love the performance this hybrid provides if done correctly. Good luck!

  • Thanks man, would have been a great build but i just sold the engine. Found an old D16A1 DOHC engine that i'm gonna drop into a DX hatchback. fuck that little 1.5 thing lol

  • @Joedrt so i have a b18b1 block with a ys1 tranny... saying i can take a b16 head and that will give my car vtec??? i know ill have to do alot more than just that, but give me the simple answer. will my tranny need swapped?? ive heard that my ys1 tranny is good and rare...

  • @HondaBender -as long as its a b-series itll match up! i have a B18A1 w/ B17A1 Transmission. My buddy has a B20 Block w/ a B16A Head & a B18C1 Tranny..

    -FRANKENSTIEN!!!

  • hey joe, nice build, would you do it again It looks like it cost a pretty penny but I bet if tuned well you'll have good old honda reliability. I have a 95ls and 94ls parts car after going this route, would you do it again or go turbo? do you have to run 93oct . thanks for your time and vid.

  • Nope! The car was already primed.... the driver was messing around with the TB because the flapper was getting stucked when the pedal was not pressed. I was mad as hell when my buddy started to do that. LMAO

  • the driver was pumping the gas lol. the way u prime a car with fuel injection is turning the key to the on position and off. The fuel pump is priming when u do that. LMAO
