My dad dated my mother that way, he was a marine, and was gone for many many months at a time while dating my mom, but after some years of seeing eachother off and on, they ended up getting married :)

@loverizaful Well, boot camp is 13 and a half weeks and then following that he will have at least 4 months (or more pending on his mos) of training after that. If he does sign up, don't think about the distance. Becoming a part of the entire Marine Corps family is an incredible ride. If he's deployed, I was told I was never going to hear from him, I don't hear from him very often, but I do hear from him. I get emails, haven't "heard" his voice since Christmas morning, and that was a great morning because of that haha. But you stay strong as well <3 He'll be home soon enough and the 9 months will seem like years ago

@jasmin2809 LunarRoso is right, look adorable, because all he is going to see is you. I went during the summer, so it was boiling hot, but it I think it's actually pretty cold now. Um, don't forget your drivers license (or whatever id you have) or your permit paper to be on the base. I believe it was a pink paper for me that I got a few weeks before the graduation. Don't wear too much makeup, because if you're like 90% of the military family you will cry, at least a little. Haha

@jasmin2809 LunarRoso is right, look adorable, because all he is going to see is you. I went during the summer, so it was boiling hot, but it I think it's actually pretty cold now. Um, don't forget your drivers license (or whatever id you have) or your permit paper to be on the base. I believe it was a pink paper for me that I got a few weeks before the graduation. Don't wear too much makeup, because if you're like 90% of the military family you will cry, at least a little. Haha

Chris and I are rare now, trust me, you're not the only person without a boyfriend, and being so young, you don't need to find a soul mate right now. @TranS1yVania I'm glad I made it a little better. Remember they were civilians at one point, Chris wasn't always a Marine, he was still the amazing guy even before he joined. But yes, Semper Fidelis does definitely hold strong in their lives :)
