My horse and my puppy are best friends! My dog leads my horse around and he runs under her feet when I'm riding her and he sits in her stable and waits for her to drop food for him and then they chase eachother around the feild. It is so cute

It depends on the horse and the dog. My sister's mare chased a dog down the aisleway with her teeth bared and ears back because this dog was always barking non-stop and a nuisance. She got along fine with our dog though with some training.

They are the most awesome dogs ever! But you need a big yard for them to be comfortable and happy. They need exercise, like any dog, and they are very large, its like having an adult-sized child in the house. And if you have the choice, don't clip their ears. It used to be for their safety, but Danes are not really used much for hunting boars anymore, so no need to submit them to that procedure. They have those big ears for a reason. Good luck with your puppy!!

Great Video! My horse really likes my danes to. I think to people that don't own danes they do sometimes look thin, but really that is what you want (and I have seen some obese danes!!). My girl is actually getting alittle on the pudgy side over the last year, not fat, but I am keeping my eye on her weight. My male is alittle thinner then I like to see him, but he had a senior wellness exam earlier this year (he's 8) and they said he's in great health for his age!
