I just like it that way - as the video says "There's an add-on for just about anything", so I have lots of them, because that's how I like my browser.
I'm not worried because my system can afford it - my CPU and RAM can handle this and much more and even *IF* they couldn't - there are add-ons like "Memory Fox" to help with that too :)
Firefox is my favorite browser but the addon installation in the video is just a lie. You have to wait and restart browser, but the quality of the addons is much better than Chrome addons.
Not if you use the SDK, in which case add-ons will also be compatible with future Firefox version as they are dependent on changes in the SDK and not the Firefox interfaces.
By the by, you can find all such add-ons under the restartless tag:
the only thing that needs to be improved by the add ons is them not breaking for every new release of firefox. as the firefox development channel is getting faster and faster, more addons are becoming incompatible with ever release.
@PMillais123 One of the first Firefox releases next year should have Firefox default to assuming extensions are compatible, only disabling them if there's a proven compatibility problem.
possibly a response to chromes amazing appstore, which has brought addons to a broader market. firefox's addons have hardly changed since it came out. it feels like a graveyard when browsing, addon makers don't like it because their addon breaks every firefox release.

And this just for the price of your private data and cementing google's monopoly. Sweet! Where do I get this chrome you speak of? I want it now!

Unfortunately, it seems that each passing day ... G. Chrome is taking land from FireFox...
I love firefox is my favorite.
Think Mozilla needs to invest heavily in advertising the FF.

@Tr1pTr0p Nope, you can install add-ons without restart, but many deprecated add-ons don’t support that.

I only use a couple. Namely LightShot, Adblock Plus, NewTabKing, and A Bible Verse toolbar. Haven't found any reasons to use any others.

@allaboutmath Simple answer for the 3 second wait is security reasons.
TheNamelessSniper 3 months ago
@allaboutmath There's an addon to disable the 3 second wait, so if you're an advanced user just install it and the wait time is gone: bit(.)ly/rxOXrY
