  • Rodgers=overrated

Favre=One of the all time greats, and the greatest Packer qb ever

  • He went out shitty, but I still have a lot of respect for the old favre.

  • i was 11 years old when i watched this game on tv. i will remember it for the rest of my life. Brett favre is a great man.

  • This was the game I remember most about Favre. All the BS that happened at the end of his career means nothing when I think about this game. To go into someone else's house espeacially the black hole and torch the opposing team the day after you father passes away??? Greatest performance ever in my honest opinion.

  • @Oothur13Garona agreed i was like 10 when this happened and this game was one of my favorite games too watch even though im not a packers fan.

  • @jeffbrister2004 Well they went to the Super Bowl the year before and they had Charles Woodson and I'm sure there is no argument that he is one of the best cornerbacks of all time.

  • Im watching this and I have tears my eyes..

  • WHEN PEOPLE SAY AARON RODGERS BETTER THEN FARVE I LAUGH OUT LOUD A-ROD IS GREAT BUT FARVE IS ON ANOTHER LEVEL GOT EVEY PASSING RECORD OUT THERE SO HANDS DOWN FARVE THE BEST

  • I cried.

  • almost cry :(

  • we're all so proud of you brett farve

  • @polskie90 amazing

  • I remember this...we all mourned for Irv Favre. Regardless of what ended up with him in Green Bay, he will always be a legend.

  • Favre's statement starting at :11 "for about 5 minutes"..etc. but the most powerful part of that statement at :21-:25 when Brett says "and that's truly what he would've wanted me to do"

  • The throws were so crazy. Rolling right back foot. No biggie forty yard bullet on point

  • I Remember this game clearly, was an amazing game by Favre.

  • I wanna meet the 3 little fuckers that disliked this video.

  • One of the legendary moments in NFL history.......

  • Anyone know the song from 0:37-1:47?

  • :( It's ok Favre,ur gonna win next super bowl too!

  • I know Favre played amazingly that night, but he was kinda fortunate to have been playing Oakland that week lol.

  • @jeffbrister2004 SHHH! You're ruining the storybook ending. haha!

  • i remeber this game... this had to be the greatest performance ive seen live of brett favre

  • i can never make it trough this video without crying, watching this game when it happened is something i will remember the rest of my life

  • I remember this game like it was yesterday. I am a lifelong Raider fan.... and I remember, when he threw that first touchdown to the corner of the endzone... I KNEW that he was going to have an incredible game. From that point on in the game I was cheering him on.

It was incredible to witness that. And the Raiders fans are some of the classiest fans in the NFL... but no one really believes me when I say that.

  • I'm a hardcore Raider's fan and always want to win, but even I wanted to see him succeed. That was a truly special thing to get support from Oakland, and that's not heard of in Oakland! My Dad was at this game and they all cheered after he scored, which was a lot. Truly special and rare moment.

  • God damn it, this video's got me crying like a damn baby. Will always be my favorite game of all time.

  • No one can say that Favre is a big game choker after this.

  • @spungnut idk how that's funny at all. he played one of the best games of his life the day after his dad died. that's unthinkable.

  • @VikeFan284296 You're right....if someone in Brett's family dies, he'll step up and play hard - be the best around. If it were playoffs? You'd best look at his history of game (and thus, season) ending picks :(

  • I love Brett Favre! I thank him for everything he gave to the Packers, he didn't leave under the best of circumstances, but what he did for our franchise will NEVER be forgotten! Favre, you will always have a spot in this Packer Backers heart!

  • I wonder...if ABC skipped the usual "Are You Ready" intro for this game...due to the circumstances it was being played under...

  • WITH ALL DUE RESPECT, AND I DO MEAN WITH ALL DUE RESPECT. THAT WAS A HORRIBLE, EVEN BRUTAL RAIDERS TEAM. I DON'T MEAN TO SOUND LIKE A HEARTLESS DICK, BUT THAT IS WHAT HE GETS PAID TO DO. I HAD TO WATCH THAT RAIDER TEAM ALL YEAR. THAT SECONDARY WAS COLLEGE-LIKE. BRETT FAVRE HAD 100 GAMES BETTER THEN THIS ONE!!!!

  • @megametsfan 100 games better than this one? You're insane. This is one of, if not THE, most memorable Favre game ever. 400 yards, 4 touchdowns, nearly perfect completion percentage, 41-7 win. And a day after his dad dies. Name one better game.

  • brett favre is was the nfls john wayne. legendary status.

  • Easily one of the greatest games ever played.

For a non Raider to get a strong sustained standing Ovation when he came on, and then even longer with loud cheers after the game. This was after Favre torched the Raiders for 400 yards, 4 TDs, and a 41-7 Packer win. For Brett to get a sustained standing ovation in Oakland of all places is a testament to his strength as a player. Amazing game amazing guy.

  • Damn New Orleans...

  • Favre cemented himself as a true legend with this performance, regardless of what's happened in the past few years.

  • Al Michaels is great........He makes it even more dramatic..

  • how can anyone not love this guy? LEGEND

  • sucks fore u bitch

  • Greatest game of football ever played? i remember balling like a 3 year old girl watching this game. I really hope all the drama of the past few years doesn't ruin the reputation of this guy who has single-handedly instilled in me a great love for the game of football

  • Greatest game of football ever played?

  • what a performance!!!!!

  • You are my hero Brett, and I can't wait for the day you come back to Green Bay and retire as a Packer...

  • I remember this game. On the 2010 ESPY Awards, Brett told a great story of how his high school coach told the team, "We will be doing a lot of rushing plays this year because, well, we're not a very good passing team." That high school coach was Brett's Dad.

  • im always ALWAYS gonna be a PaTS fan, but this guy is a fuckin legend,, he picked up his stones,, stuck em betwen his legs and in this game, showed em off to the whole world!!! absoloutely amazing,,,

  • Best single game performance by any plqyer of all time in my book. No one else but Brett Favre could have had a night like this one. Say what you want about him but you can't argue with whatvhe has done on the football field.

  • This was and still is to me Brett Favre's best game he ever played in his entire career. He is and will always be one of the best quarterbacks to have played the game when he does finally hang up his uniform.

  • How this team rose to the occasion for their hurting team-mate is beautiful. They had each other's back like no other.

Let's see the Redskins or Cowboys or Bills or even Steelers do that for one of their own. That's why The Packers are the greatest team. Because they are a TEAM.

  • @michaeltgrace Sean Taylor

  • @airs0ft3r I stand corrected. Very good!

  • ''that i would lay an egg'' LOL

  • Everytime I watch this I tear up. I dont know how Brett found the strength to play in that game after loosing his father. That game he truly played his heart out

  • Brett Favre - Legend

  • wat was the final score of that game?

  • @Trevorlikescheese101 final score was 41-7

  • I fucking owned my Fantasy Football league championship game with Favre and Javon Walker that week.

  • I am doing a term Paper on Him, and every time i think about How the way He was around His team mates and the way He acted in other games, is just astonishing. He is a man that deserves a lot of respect. Not just because He can throw unbelievable Bombers to his WR''s...But because of the way He acts, and treats people. He is truly a Remarkable Man. Even though He may not have much left in Him, i would love to see him come back for one more year. God Bless That Man !!!

  • Every time I watch this I tear up. There's just something so special about an athlete playing their heart out following the loss of a loved one. Nothing in the world can match that.

  • I admit I don't like Favre the Viking right now but this game was one of the best performances I have ever seen.

  • Incredible. The guy has stones bigger than basketballs, i hope we get to see another year of the legend that is favre. And there should be a movie too when hes done. Legend

  • @Bcolly unfortunately, the photographic evidence says otherwise

  • Im only 24 years old so i havent been abround for too many great NFL moments, but this may be the greatest performances in sports history

  • Wow for the Raider fans that night!

  • wats the song

  • yea best ever!

  • Brett Favre, take the superbowl this year. I know you can do it.

  • if he wins it tho he wont come back again next year i think. and no matter what colors favre is always going to be a packer.

  • @jleack

    I hope so too man!

  • @jleack too bad the nfl had other plans

  • @jleack but he didnt :(

  • @jleack Vikings went 6-10, not even close to the playoffs, GO PACK GO! Super Bowl XLV Champions!

  • 2:18 ... That's respect..

3:03 .. the answer to that question is "the best ever"

    3:39 .. even superman's human..

The best ever giving the best ever tribute to the man who made him what he is..

  • i almost started crying..i got tears right now as i type

  • Brett faver is one of my fav QB'S of all time. I'm so glade he's playing anothere year

  • Great video on a great story of a legend
