  • u could just plug the numbers into the equation pe^rt. p is what u started with.e is just what the number is raised to.r is the percent rate divided by 100. and t is the number of years you want to find the balance. so when ever you use this you should use a graphing calculator TI edition and just plug the numbers in. 4000e^(.06*5) Then you have it exactly and the total like he said is $5,399.44 after 5 years. by the way i am 15 years old and i learned this in my pre calculus class.
