  • NO NO!

YOU go back to your computer and write another Book ending Eragon and Arya's love story NOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ONE WORD : KARMA

my art teacher said there is no more originality in human since renaissance. but this nerdy-toomuch-reading fantasy fag expect to waste trees to give enlightenment to young minds of how incompetent he is to just create something from yourself. not researching and do a thousand pages book reports from other people's work.U REALLY DESTROYED FICTION AND FANTASY DOUCHE

  • @lum2ina Do you even know what karma is? How about you shut the fuck up and don't go on theses videos if you don't like the books. The books are not very original but who the fuck cares about the original. If I taste a wannabe coca cola that tastes like heaven I don't fucking care where it came form. stfu

  • @wafotnytt yes and it never misses, including myself for bashing them. top cheat ure way to the top isnt cool man, didnt ure teacher taught you that at school? or you didnt go? and never read a single book before this one LOL. gather ure facts first son, i'll deliberately post it, but u can check reviews on amazon.com, now that's the stink that never goes away, and majority of people already know!

  • @lum2ina It actually has good reviews, you obviously haven't read it. I've read lotr, and Eragon is like lotr except with the 1900 kind of writing. Not to mention all the other books I've read. What I mean with you obviously don't know what karma is that karma makes something bad happen to a person who has done something to deserve it. Writing a book that lacks originality isn't bad... I'm not a grammar whore but what's up with "top cheat ure way to the top isnt cool"?

  • @wafotnytt look again, at the statistics. more people agree with the plagiarism. i mean u could make the similar storyline wth starwars, but dont make them live with your uncle and aunt too. fundamental reasons why people both love "the simpsons"and"family guy"or "wizard of oz" and "alice and wonderland". karma is the output of every actions we make.my religion invented it. he should've search his own voice instead of tracking other people's work.it's hard, thats what makes it great

  • @lum2ina What makes you think he didn't follow his own voice? Do you have any idea how hard it is to write nowadays? He was fifteen, he was just having fun with writing then thought it was good and continued. He wanted to write a fantasy book. OFC it's influenced by all the other books. Look at the movie Black Swan, everybody loved it but the approach on the crazyness has been done in like least 5 other movies. and if you're buddhist then why were you so hostile calling him a fag?

  • @wafotnytt karma is from hindu silly, tht's why, please checked your facts. even twilight has more originality than him, with their sparkly jumping vampire. the mechanism of the dragon is copied, the name of the characters pathetically similar to LOTR and people who defend him was, i'm not JUST talking about details, the whole plot is too familiar. yet yes we do get fooled, like disney's lion king from an anime called kimba. but that doesnt mean we couldnt be aware.

  • @lum2ina People who critizise Eragon for lack of originality haven't read the books fully. Sure it shares things with lotr and some other stuff. but nothing major. The books are really good, the relationships between characters are as original as it can be, the dragons interpretation is original, the magic is original, the backstory about riders is original, the languages are original, the land is original. Everyone who reads these books know this.

  • @wafotnytt use your logic and sense, if you saw your book copied by a teen wannabe prodigy who self published his enormous books(poor trees) just to gain a fast fad and fame how would u feel? he's not genius, he's highlighting a lot of famous book, which made his work more like fan fictions (well u know how people eat that a lot). but publishing is now just basic business, do u know how many vampire books published after twilight? any self conscious wouldnt be caught dead with eragon

  • @lum2ina It's hard to understand you with your grammar. In this post you didn't take up any good argument so, I don't know what to say. He only self published his first book. As I just wrote, the books are original. You didn't answer my arguments so I guess I win the argument? great, now stfu. I don't go to twilight videos hatin, I simply don't care

  • @wafotnytt yes and this post is about how many characters, not grammars. i guess ure no english major either, considering ure sloppy sentences and uncommunicative ways. ORIGINAL, REALLY?!Eragon is from Aragorn (LOTR) dragon is metaphorical for forces (now compare it with star wars), their uncle both died (why does it always the uncle?!) princess, mentor, yadda3x, ripped by dragons of the perm and his eldest book is from the empire strikes back. learn 12 year old kid, learn

  • @wafotnytt unless u enjoy fantasy-fanfiction surely u'll defend this to the death, but sorry i'm not a fantasy junkie, but please google from forums and blogs from seniors who really knows this stuff and you will see how they belittle every sentence of his crap. I just hope that if you want to become a novelist, dont use him as ure role model. and i think he manipulates the rant in utube, because he is rich and i just found out people do that for fake publicity. :D

  • @lum2ina It has received great reviews. I defend it because I consider it defendable.

btw if people whine about originality then they also should go for The Hunger Games

A other book I've read that's great but the basic idea is not original

  • Wonder how many gallons of ink and piles of paper he used to print that out! His printer must be in critical condition. :)

  • Damned, I´m catching me in going to the Eragon-Website for every two days and look out for

news... damned, I want a fifth book !!!! I LOVE YOU, CHRISTOPHER

btw, my name is Christopher, too. This is no joke : )

  • God I hope he does return with a fifth book to really tie everything up like he said in the acknowledgements. Would really love to hear about what will become of the world he created.

  • I wrote to him Last Month. He just sent me back 2 autographed photos and a 2 page response to my letter

There is no saying as to how happy i am right now. :)

  • @NicksPolitics How do you have his contact details

  • I think i talk for all of us fans when i say i was a bit disappointed about the ending in the last book. This books have been a part of my life since i was only 7 years old. Ever since Eragon saved Arya in Urû'baen i've known that they would fall in love in one of the coming books, after the BloodOath Celebration i was 100 % that Arya would accept him. Then after 9 years it ended with Eragon leaving. I think he could've made the ending better and not made me cry:(This books is still the best doh

  • Check out my channel for Christopher Paolini's Edmonton Inheritance Tour!!!

  • Book one was amazing and when I read it I could connect so easily with Eragon and his character.

Unfortunately the writing style of book four has seemed to sever that magical connection I once had.

Great series though, too bad it couldn't have ended with more closure or finality. It felt so forced.

  • @PurvyG he said in the acknowledgement that he will return to this series to tie up loose ends so expect a 5th book :)

  • I like how he says "book"

  • @musicdork4ever Well duh it's a book.

  • @EvanQuade1 well duh I said he says it in a cool way

  • @musicdork4ever Gee, I wonder how he said it. I was sure he said it as "Book"

  • @EvanQuade1 I'm just saying it sounds funny

  • i cried at the end of inheritance

  • hate the ending! please Christopher revisit alagaesia some day

  • You can watch his edmonton tour video on my channel!

  • Why people be frontin' on the ending?? I LOVED it. I mean, it was sad, sure....But, it's a calm, quiet ending that was just what the doctor ordered, after everything that happened to Eragon and Saphira. I guess I'm alone in this.

  • @AbominableSailor Because the ending seems... hurried - as though he didn't have enough time to write it. The last 100 or so pages of the book are what people are considering the ending. He doesn't put nearly as much description or detail into those pages as her did with the rest of the book. He could have lengthened those pages and added more to the end and had another book. I liked the ending, don't get me wrong. But as I said: It seemed rushed.

  • Zar'roc. 0:08

  • the seris could have ended much better than eragon leaving... ;(

  • @aznpretzelord no it couldn't. ever read the lord of the rings? the ending is almost exactly the same. you can't have had a different ending than that and yet still have it be so moving

  • @OutswingingYorker really? why would you want him to speak and besides i dont really think he would want to if he even can it says hes simply filled with basically rage hate anger and all that stuff

  • Press Alt + F4 chris to save...

    :ultimate troll face:

  • Got the book for Christmas, forcing myself not to read it all too fast xD

  • I totally like this guy, he's ONE OF US. XD Plus I dig the Who references in the books, those make me giggle.

  • I thought the ending was handled well. It wasn't this ooey-gooey "YAY we saved the day!!" finish, and if it was, it wouldn't have been so satisfying. Besides, it's not as though everyone can't go visit Eragon if they wanted to, especially with dragons crawling all over the place in the near future.

  • Just me or is Paolini kinda like Peter Parker?

  • He hilled Shruikan without even letting him SPEAK for God's sake.

    Paolini is a complete idiot.

  • NERD HUG

  • Greatest series ever but book fours ending SUCKED

  • i LOVE the inheritance cycle and book four was amazing. but i've got to admit the ending broke my heart :'(

  • When I first read the book my first though was " this is better then my birthday".... Got me all fire up from start to middle n bit near the end but it all came crashing down at the last 2 to 4 chapter at the end.... Great book no doubt cuz eragon got his reason n duty to do what he did for if all book had to have a happy ending its boring n to predictable

  • Go to my channel if you want to watch his complete edmonton tour

  • Paolini should write fifth book about all that happen after Eragon has created a new home for riders. We should see the beggining of the new dragon riders and some conclusion on the Eragon-Arya thing. But otherwise a great book. Thank you SO much for making 4 books.

  • I FKIN HATE THE ENDING HE SHULD OF MADE IT A HAPPY ONE GRRRRRRRRRR HE BETTER MAKE A NEW SERES ABOUT ERAGON OR SOMONE IN THT BOOk

  • @choikomatth I THINK he might right about Murtagh and Thorn... not sure! But I hope.. I LOVE MURTAGH he's my favorite character!! :')

  • ahhh, he's so damn nerdy, love it

  • I HATED the ending so much. It makes me want to scream.

  • @AHighPwner Haha it pissed me off too. Mostly cuz it made me sad. but it was a good ending nonetheless

  • is it true this book was crappy? I heard it was...

  • @musicdork4ever I disagree, I thoroughly enjoyed it

  • @musicdork4ever Depends on perspective. I'd read a couple of reviews then judge for myself, however personally there are many many reasons why I thought the book was crappy.

  • @musicdork4ever dont read the last pages

  • @musicdork4ever Good book sad ending

  • Video looks like cheap acting... and the awkward hug. ahhhhh

I loved the books, up until Galbatorix dies. Then, it just goes.... flat. :(

  • After waiting so long for this book... it's hard to grasp that's its over... I have just a few pages left and I am holding off on reading them because I don't want it to end. The series is one of my favorite and it's hard to let it go

  • Very good book, I enjoyed it quite a bit... hopefully the next book (If there will be one) will deal with Brom's backstory.

  • @CommanderGene yea i hope so too and some others to tell us what happend with Eragon and Arya and all others after that single stupid word...... the two words last in the book those two so hated words in all books....... here they come........ The End =(

  • Wow. The series has come to a close.

  • Comment removed

  • omg....kinda sad =/ but very awesome!

  • I dislike this!

  • i feel so sorry yet happy for the editor. she had to go through all of that???

  • So cheesy haha sorry had to say it

  • The book is absolute SLOP. It needed to be the best yet for this series to become a classic but instead it fell so short of the mark it will more than likely be forgotten in a few years time. I really wanted to enjoy this book but it was rushed and unfinished. Holes in the plot everywhere, objects added in an instant like that stupid lance. I just cant express in words my disappointment in this book. I wish I could of read my future children to sleep with this story. But alas, it wasn't to be.

  • the ending of the 4th book.. SMH

  • My question now is... Since the eragon cycle is apparently over now... Can we expect a remake of the movie to where there can be sequels or more books that may not be based on Eragon and Arya... But has them in it and tells a little bit about them and if maybe they got to see each other or anything of the sort... I know that eragon left "forever" but beings Arya and Eragon are both basically immortal now it is very hard for me to believe that they will not get together some how some way... And

  • @sysxdiablo

    1. CP has stated that he likely will write another book involving some of the major characters, but not for a little while. So yeah, it's pretty likely we'll find out more.

    2. He posted on twitter a couple days ago "It's possible that more movies may be made out of the Inheritance cycle, but I can't say any more than that at the moment." when somebody asked him about a redo of the eragon movie and maybe more.

While Eragon wasn't great, it did make 250 million+ worldwide.

  • @sysxdiablo I also would like to see some sort of explanation of the relationship between Arya and Eragon but I found the ending in Inheritance to be telling in a very cryptic sort of way. They will obviously have contact though perhaps never a full relationship. I almost don't want an explanation for fear of ruining the ending presented in Book 4.

  • I mean hand

  • I shook his head not 3 hours ago!!

  • The ending is fucking amazing. It has meaning-throughout the entire series we see the main characters suffering the most, because they are the ones who lead the most difficult part of the battle for eternal peace in the world. Arya and Eragon and Roran and Nasuada and others end up tearful and heartbroken but this is the price they need to pay in order peace to triumph. The two lovers can never be together because of their duty but it is a price worth and essentially paid. It looks great to me.

  • I have to say that the book was good... But the ending was HORRIBLE!!!! Too much left open and unanswered!!!! I hope and pray that CP either writes an epilogue to tie up the open ends and talk about the new riders and hopefully E+A will finally come true... Or just write a fifth book and date it like 100 or so years later and talk about him teach the new riders ect. But I am extremely upset that it ended this way as are a vast majority of people!

  • Eragon has to go away forever. It is so sad. He never gets to see his friends again

  • @JerridPayne Never heard that sentence in my life :p got any recommendations?

  • Gotta say i hate the ending, nevertheless this's still my favorite fantasy series, and despite the ending, the fourth is definitely my favorite book. You could've tied up more ends than you created though! Also, and correct me if i'm wrong, Arya is 100 years old, yet her father died 500 years ago? I'm somewhat confused.

  • @PurvyG idd i myself used to imagine a furture time but all that went to shit when he made eragon run off to some desolate place leaving evryone behind, please give me a happy ending writers i cant handle much more after this i mean i was thorn after lord of the rings but i didnt go out for 3 days after ending this book :( /cry

  • @PurvyG The longer the life span of an animal, the longer it is in the womb. I'll let you dwell on that thought.

  • @Link0o haha made me laugh, I guess they do live forever... maybe a 400 year gestation period is feasible... :p

  • @PurvyG O.o

  • @PurvyG maybe the gestation period for elves is 400 years...

  • Me: Hey mom, I'm going to go kill 16 people.

Mom: But isn't that a bit dangerous?

Me: Nah, I have 398 people with me.

    Mom: Oh ok then.

  • Oh man, on page 242 Eragon says something that is in Avatar! ha ha ha ha ha! but this had to have come first, seeing as how Avatar is so new and he's been working on this for years....

  • I have the video of christopher paolini talking at the union square barnes and nobles so if you want to see it just look up "christopher paolini speaking at union square

  • I have the book in my hands at this very moment. I got the woman at the store to give it to me straight out of the unopened box. I even lent her my car keys to open the box. Fresh.

  • I just bought the last book it looks great can't wait to finish it

  • There goes my social life for the next week...

Hmm, maybe he could spend all the free time he has now helping remake the movie so it can be an actual SERIES instead of the "first" movie coughed up about 5 years ago. Or maybe even a tv show...I don't usually watch TV, but Inheritance, I would watch.

  • I love that running up and down the road is part of the celebration.

  • Flippin heck what size font did he use?!?!

  • @Arkturazz Turning in manuscripts requires larger font and it's not front and back printing for red lining purposes.

  • @dewprisms It was a joke...

  • What is this, 1950? Use a usb LOL.

  • The green dragon is called Rose

  • @zimmerboy3 yep, rose the GREEN dragon named fernen...

  • I love your shag carpet...just saying. LOL.

  • Damnnn

I was so sure Shruikan was gonna be on this cover.. I wanna know what he looks like D:

  • 14 people are...

    a. afraid of dragons

    b. being chased down by the Varden

    c. recently ofended a shade

    d. cannot read

    e. all of the above

  • Would've been hilarious if his computer crashed and he forgot to save.

  • I am going to see him on tour at my local books a million. HAHA

  • this had better be good after four years of waiting or i'm gonna be PISSED

  • 2 pe orders for me, This book and Skyriim <3

  • What about that girl that Eragon and Saphira blessed, not Elva the one that he met with Angela and she had a motther with munted wrists from shackles she must have a reason for being in the story right?

  • It sucks. It's coming on the 8th but i'm not going to be able to get it until the 14-16th!

  • @Zenerax Pff. I won't get it for another 1 or 2 years because they don't give a crap about translating books here

    :(

  • @Gytax0 What do you mean Translating? You seem to speak pretty good English.

  • @Zenerax It would require quite a lot of effort to get one from foreign countries.

  • @Gytax0 Ah You're from Lithuania. Just go on Amazon. com or their british equivalent It will cost a bit but you could get it shipped over. It's pretty popular though so i wouldn't rule out it being translated into lithuanian.

  • 9 more days!

  • its arya that dies i think, in reference to "Readers will experience an elvish death in Book 4." and something i also saw about the original ideas for some of the characters changing

  • Is he comming to Atlanta

  • 12 dislikes hmmmm didn't Galbatorix have 12 servant riders?

  • @JCBlake123 He did kind of although that's the 12 forsworn don't forget he had a servant rider before them and he now has Murtaugh

  • @JCBlake123 13.

  • @lolman5921 my bad

  • @JCBlake123 13 XD

  • @JCBlake123 13

  • @JCBlake123 No he had 13 :P

  • w8 3 weeks till the book gets out and then w8 3 more weeks till i get to the end

this is so pointless, but still gonna read it

    i guess...

  • Mother trucker I won't this book

  • @rocketpod1 don't you mean "WANT"

  • GUYS THERE HAS TO BE A GIRL RIDER!!!!!! AND IN HIS DREAM IN THE FIRST BOOK THERE IS A GIRL RIDER IN THAT DREAM

    i hope its arya...

  • @h2o274 Probably his sister

  • @h2o274 It could well be, her magic is green aswell, but due to her age, I doubt it. Dragons tend to pick their riders at a younger age, Saphira chose Eragon when he was 16 or 17 I think. The most sensible answer would be Nasuada, she's just a bit older than Eragon and would make quite a good rider I think. Personally, I hope it's Angela, she'd bring a crazier, funnier side to the Riders, and her battle armour is also green. But then again, that sort of rules out the age thing...

  • @h2o274 If not we can sue him for being sexist ! lol :D :D :D

  • @SpamRulz1997 lol. i finished inheritance....dont wanna spoil but i dont think im suing him anytime soon..... :D

  • @h2o274 I finished the book...I know who it is wanna hear? haha

  • Comment removed

  • HOW DARE THERE BE DISLIKES!!!!!!!!!!

  • I see countless hours of adventure within that stack of paper..... :D

  • @Reece1504

    yup!

  • @TheZeldalink09

The dragon on Eragon is Saphria.

The dragon on Eldest is Glaedr.

The dragon on brisingr is Thorn.

And I think the last books dragon must be Galbatorix's dragon .

  • @ApoTutorials Nope Galdbatoric's dragon is black. There is still one unhatched egg left which means a new dragon is going to come in the last book

  • @JCBlake123

or possibly, the green dragon has already hatched elsewhere & is loose out there

maybe the last dragon egg is some color we're least expecting

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV ....No your wrong hahaha ;)

  • @JCBlake123

...my wrong? I think you mean "you're wrong"

if you read eldest, eragon climbs up this cleft to find saphira (after her fight with glaedr), and eragon nearly steps on a broken GREEN dragon egg shard. possibly it's already hatched & loose somewhere

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV hmm interesting, but that would mean the elves stole the egg, so why wouldn't they tell eragon?? i think that this place was in duweldenvarden the home of the elves so it seem unlikely but possible. but i would prefer it if the egg hatched for angela(which it already might have since shes lke 100 years old), arya or nasuada. nice theory tho =]

  • @BryanIVIcGrath

no, i mean galbatorix still has the "last" dragon egg, but it's a different color,

and perhaps the green dragon was an egg they didn't know existed

i vote Roran as the new rider, 'cause he's as young as eragon, and tamerlein is designed for "slashing & swinging" like roran does with his hammer. maybe the already-grown green dragon would be perfect for him. though i also think maybe arya could, too, be the next rider - im 50/50 for them both

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV I don't think that Tamerlein would be given to either Roran or Arya as it was said that the Menoa tree had provided enough brightsteel to make several swords including Brisingr. Perhaps the rider could be someone entirely different such as maybe Elva or even Sloan for that matter. Very intriguing theory nevertheless.

  • @MidnightGiggles

    i know - it's just a possibility

im personally hoping the new rider will be a satisfying one

there're all these scenarios & such, it's fun playing with & discussing them all!

    can't wait for the book!

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV To be honest, i'm kinda sad that the series is coming to an end or at least Eragon's story anyway and by the way, isn't the captive egg green? Or am i mistaken?

  • @MidnightGiggles

it could be, yes, it could be. it's just that paolini may have a few surprises for us in store we weren't expecting ;)

I'm kinda uncomfortable with the story ending, too, btw.

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV really interesting theory lol i hope its true but i highly doubt roran will become a rider as that will mean he will be immortal and katrina will die of old age while he stays the same, i dont think paolini would do that. also, there is a POSSIBLY legitimate excerpt online that could POSSIBLY mean roran dies, all we read is that a wall falls and he cannot escape from it. but yes interesting theory but why would the dragon have just hatched???

  • @BryanIVIcGrath

who knows. if roran becomes an immortal dragon rider, perhaps paolini has a solution to it - maybe saphira & thorn mate & have another egg, which hatches for katrina, idk. lol

  • @Eye2EyeIIIV yes but you also have to remember that angela, nasuada and Arya are always related to the colour green because f their eyes, clothes plants etc, but roran isn't. and also thorn is only like 2 months old and saphira was just bigger than a horse at that age so he is a bit too young atm lol. also if it is green non-rider dragon then why would it hatch?

  • @ApoTutorials and you have eldest and brisingr mixed up too. the dragon on eldest is thorn the dragon on brisingr is glaedr

  • just saying this..

    she wants him soo bad!

  • I don't like dragon books and Eragon is the only series I like with dragons in it. I hope he writes more dragon books! WRITE MORE DRAGON BOOKS CHRIS!!

  • Do you know how long I have waited for this book?!? November 2008 people!! Three years on and I hope it's worth the long wait!

  • Only 39 days to go!

  • I have read Eragon and Eldest and am reading Brisingr, so I really can't wait until this comes out! and also I think the dragon on Eragon is Saphira, The dragon on Eldest was Murtagh's dragon, and the one on Brisingr is Glaedr, but who is the dragon on Inheritance?

  • What's he doing writing on the couch when he has that nice-ass office chair in the background?

Anyway, I'm excited for the book!

  • @iilloopp10 actually I'm working on a book too and when it comes to writing sometimes switching places can help.

  • @Fernhilla Yes, I'm working on a book too, and I switch places too, but still...

  • 11/8 mw3/inheritance..11/11 skyrim.. LETS FUCKING GO

  • DOES HE HAVE ZARROC IN HIS LIVING ROOM ????

  • @Festoniaful He's Paolini, he can do what the fuck he wants. xD
