looks like none of you are very internet savvy, so im just gonna say a random meme u wont understand:

    i'll take a potato chip...AND EAT IT!

  • Although the show was consistently great - I almost forgot how good the first 3 seasons were. Perfect Acting, Great Script & Great Direction perfection.

Tony's Voice got more annoying & his 'Mob' Mannerisms become more and more exaggerated as the series goes on - The performance of Jame Gandolfini is evidently way better in the earliest of the Program.

  • why can't i find a dr that looks like dr.melfi

  • This show will never get old. I could watch it forever.

  • I love Dr. Melfi's voice.

  • Semester and a half of college--priceless!

  • I love how he talks about manning up and the goes.. "since the ducks left". Ha! Ha!

  • am i the only one who thinks tony's accent changed after season 1?

  • @pk550 yea the entire character changed, hes more of an agressive snot who didnt really know how to act properly, (he was more ghetto if u will) in the beginning, where at the end of the show he was smooth and tactful, but overall a bigger sociopath

  • It only gets better from here

  • Young TONY!

  • i live around italians in brooklyn, ny. i am on the set of real life sopranos daily!

  • @FakeDodgeViperGuy

    Rappresent! Paisa'...

  • @trakomako actually the great Genovese Family Boss, Frank Costello, went to a therapist at one point. And that was decades before this show.

  • fk he looks young as

  • When you compare his "accent" from the first episodes to the later ones it's amazing how more real it became. He must of had a lot of coaching. Great acting.

  • Kareeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeen I thought you were Jewish

  • "i have a semester and a half of college, so i understand Freud"

    LOLK:ALGKHAS:GLKAJSFAHAHAHAHA

  • amazing how young he looks here

  • am i the only one who never noticed his voice change that much?

  • @Whyrweherereally I've noticed that too. Every time you see one of the first few episodes, it's really noticeable. He's more human as time goes on.

  • @cadge31 i guess his accent might have changed, slightly.. never really noticed it that much tho

  • This is the only episode his voice sounds different. After Pilot, Gandolfini developed a New Jersy accent

  • @datasurferable ..James IS from Jersey....His voice changes because he gets older as the seasons go on..Remember, this scene is from '99..and if you notice later in the series when he talks to Carmine, he tries to sound more like the boss that he had become, and not like a street Capo.

  • @datasurferable ..James IS from Jersey..not to mention the fact that he's about 25-30 lbs lighter here. This scene is from '99 when he was alot younger.

  • @WiseGuy5674 I read it on IMDb, I checked for it but I didn't find it. You can check if you want.

  • @datasurferable what's the difference in that accent? .

  • man he looks young and slim in this scene

  • BEST SHOW EVER. PERIOD

  • As far as I remember, this pilot was shot much earlier than rest of the season 1 episodes. You can hear they really tuned their dialects.

  • " Now iit's disfunction this, and disfunction that, and Disfunction vaffunculo!!!!!"

  • @Jorgmandr

I live in Italy, I am italian 100% ... when I heard that line I felt from the chair ... ah ah it sounds so funny in italian ah ah. Actually he says affangull' but the correct italian is vaffanculo. That is a Naples' dialect ah ah oh fuck how funny ah ah

  • @TetsuyaIT Yeah. I live in Ohio, am 50% italian, and can speak it to some extent. When I say it, I pronounce it Bafungool. Thats more of a southern italian dialect, as my fathers people are from Gildone near compabasso. But the way he says it, it doesnt even sound close! Oh well, funny stuff. Holla from a fellow Paisan.

  • @Jorgmandr

Respect to my fratello paisà who lives in America. Keep an eye on the family, especially on the women, who they hang out with and so on ok? Proud to be italian. Take care paisà!

  • Man he was really thin back in the first season!

  • What year is this about 97'

  • wut ever happen to guys like gary cooper

  • since the ducks left....

  • simply amazing acting. God, how I love this show.

  • actually they should have made the sopranos like coronation street is; pretty much neverending. let it shift between characters and mob bosses, whatever. maybe even follow some characters into other cities. give it a 50 year run. those are the best shows.

  • they should have made 13 seasons of the sopranos

  • "I had a semester and a half at college - so i understand freud!" hahaha. I love Tony Soprano. Best series of ALL time.

  • i wanna make a tony soprano receading hairline flip book

  • this is a defining moment in TV history.

  • his accent gets thicker as the show goes on

  • its true what he says about modern America.

    Where are the Gary Coopers?

    We are becoming weaker.

"He just did what he had to do!"

  • please don't consider it racist, but i think it's a common problem among white people all over the world. we are getting weaker and weaker, our teenagers are emo and other shit.

  • i don't know if i would say that it's just white people...but i agree w/ that on some level....lots of parents these days, including mine, were too soft on their kids growing up, and then when the kids leave home, it's difficult for a lot of them to handle all of the stresses and heartbreaks that come about in life

  • Your mommy know you talk like that?

  • A made guy goes to a shrink to spill his soul? Don't even think about it, he'd be face down in a dumpster in two minutes.

What happens when the DA subpoenas the shrink's record?

What respect will Furio have for a man who tells his problems to a woman?

    Fuggedaboutit!

  • idiot. you watched the show? he dident even say one thing that will be against him

  • right! So guys that won't even use a fuckin phone are gonna do what when they hearTony is 'sharing his feelings' with a broad who would testify in a heartbeat? Check the shrink videos to see what Tony fatmouthed ? Maybe he shared his feelings about bedwetting and how he needs to be spanked? Oh I see, Sicilian mafiosi have feelings too!

  • i watched all this series more then one time.

  • No shit? They got HBO in fuckin Oregonia???

  • listen you stupid cocksocker. i just said i watched the all series becuse you talking shit and i know it much more then you. so either fucking watch it or shut your fucking dick sucking lips. with all the shit you talking about. dumbass. you dont know nothing about this series. everyone has feelings. no one know what he say to her either. and no one care. its the modern times.

and i dont live in oregonia. stfu fucking dick sucking cock socking faggot with no life.

  • @Shooter1001 Frank Costello who was the boss of the Genovese crime family went to a shrink and that was in the 50's or something. Nowadays I don't think it would be a problem, especially not if he keeps it hidden. Get your facts right schmuck.

  • @EazyMothafuckingE

yeah sure, 'nowadays' its no problem, guys are in touch with their feelings. they talk about being depressed and their mommy spanked them too much right? You must be hanging out with the gay wiseguys.

A guy spills his soul to some hebe doctor who'd sell his granma the minute he heard the word subpoena, and then what? There ain't a Jew doctor who would be crazy or stupid or poor enough to get involved with it.

I don't think you know WTF you're talking about!

  • @Shooter1001 I do agree that people are bitching a little too much about their problems just as Tony says in this clip, but that doesn't mean someone gets clipped over seeing a shrink, after all he hid it at least in the beginning. And did you get the part about Frank Costello? He was the most powerful mob boss in his time and he went to a shrink. And another thing, chill the fuck out will ya? It's not that big of a deal.

  • @EazyMothafuckingE

Costello was back in Luciano's time. No big drugs, no rico. Drugs are long prison terms, & guys sing facing 20+ yrs! but its dead anyway! All the grandkids went to law school or became accountants, who needs BS?

BTW, you really should watch your language and calling people you don't know bad names isn't nice either.

  • the lighting in melfi's office in the first season is so different from later season's....at least through the first several episodes

  • "i had a semester and a half in community college so i undertsand Freud" LOL

  • Community college? You can get a PhD from CC without even being able to read!

  • Bullshit.

  • Yeah right, ever been to Passaic County CC or Essex County CC?

WillieP or Ramapo won't even take their 'credits'.

    Better than jail though!
