  • i love when doowop groups do buddy holly, this one is awesome

  • Hi, Martin I was with your father at Audio Recorders in Phoenix, Arizona, when this record was made. Richie, Toni, Warren, your father, and DJ Hank Tester and I were there. It was a great band; they would play on the weekends, in the 60's, Flagstaff, Arizona. Your father was a great friend, a good person, and a heck of a musician and band leader. We almost lost him in that nasty wreck. After that I went to war, we have not talked since. An Old Warrior

  • WOW this my Dad's song and the men on the video are not him. Do not know where they came from but this is my Dad....how neat!!!!!

  • HMM..... Gene Fisher and the Mystics under the Plateau label was a band out of Flagstaff, Arizona (my dad being Gene Fisher I am pretty confident of my information). The picture of the record label is quite accurate. The photo of the band shown, however, is not of Gene Fisher & the Mystics (though it may well be a photo of one of the several other bands that also were called the Mystics, and I'm not sure whether they also recorded this song). Martin Fisher

  • @jp595186 Hi Martin. Your Dad and I wrote each other last week and he clarified it was indeed an incorrect photo. He assured me that immediately after the Holidays he would send me the correct photo. In his last letter to me he had given me the group member names, etc. I didn't update the description because I was waiting for the photo an figured I'll repost it with all the correct information. The label is correct, in fact your Dad sang lead on this song. I'm looking forward to his next letter.

  • Rich,

I agree with all comments. It does sound like Buddy Holly! Great song, thanks for sharing!

  • @24JohnE hi, can't agree with the buddy holly sound alike. he[buddys] work was much more driven more energetic and enjoyable to this listeners ear. but then again, that what tastes are for. tom d brick,nj

  • @doowopman49 I think they mean more in Buddy's sound and style, not a vocal sound alike.
