  • Holy shit this is great!!!!

  • A great live band!!! They had EXCELLENT sound techs---this sounds almost EXACTLY like the Lp version!! By the way that album "Cheap Trick" was recorded LIVE in the studio with almost NO overdubs...

  • Nielsen is a wild man, always was, always will be. It is impossible to think him being in his sixties...

  • @tomv214 rush farewell to kings tour, cheap trick in color they played Hammond civic center Lake county Indiana 1977 wanted to go but couldn't still kicking my ass to this day.

  • Love CHeap Trick. Always have! This clip reminds me what a fantastic frummer Bun E. is.

  • The great vocalist of the late '70s.

  • robin zander is... yum.

  • Their stuff still rocks. Soundtrack to my youth!

  • Best American rock and roll singer ever. Cheap Trick should have been as big as Zeppelin.

  • @Maxwerm bigger.

  • Their first album was great! In Color and Heven Tonight were very good also. Just a damn good pop/rock band with a little bit of an odd twist courtesy of Rick Nielsen. One of their more recent albums Rockford was good also.

  • A Liam Gallagher accent before there was a Liam Gallagher...and better at it!

  • Super awesome. LOVE the first album!!!!!!! Rick Neilson inspired me to make my own custom guitars. Robin Zander's voice- one of the strongest in rock. Thanks Cheap Trick!

  • I wonder if this song has any relation to Electric Light Orchestra?

  • @locojets Mebbe the Electric Light Orchestra should write a song called " Cheap Trick Kiddies"

  • @vveq Why? For one, there's no play on words ('ello/elo) and secondly, this is a tribute to ELO. Nielsen and Petersson formed the band, inspired by a trip to the UK. Wasn't ELO (and Slade, etc) an influence on CT, besides the Beatles of course? There's a guy that's written much more about ELO and Cheap Trick, google alan thompson strange magic and you should find his site.

  • One of the most original bands of all times-

I like how Bun E. Carlos looks like some accountant who just came in off the street and joined the band-

  • Nothing but great, great memories for me when I hear Cheap Trick -- this song in particular. Man, did I crush on Robin Zander when I was around 13. Swoon!! And such a perfect, perfect voice for their brand of rock/pop.

  • That's one fine Explorer.

  • Yep...this first album didn't get the props it deserved.

  • Geez, did I ever LOVE this album when it first came out (their debut album, not Budokan, though I loved Budokan, too). Robin Zander was soooooo cute, and SUCH a great singer. He had the growl, the pop sensibilities, everything!

  • Man .... did Zander's vocals rock on this track. Strong vocals. GREAT band. To not respect this band is criminal....they were so important in the 70s.

  • I can't believe it took the band over thirty years to finally get around to officially releasing this historic performance on DVD. Does anyone know why?

  • Rick is so dynamic that he often ignores his microphone and stands too far from it when he sings.

  • Hands down, my favorite Cheap Trick song. I stole the album from my parents' friends!

  • another great song from my all time fave cheap trick album! i wish they hadn't toned down their sound so much after this record.

  • Right on! Excellent album. Still one of my favorites of all my music collection (over 5,000 albums!!!!).

  • A great song from their underrated first album. They got famous with their second album but their first one is damn good too. This band invented power pop.

  • Love it! You guys are ALL ALRIGHT!:)
