I think it's cool that Hmong wear the necklace "lub xauv" it's apart of our history and its great how it shows we are resilient people by making beautiful of something that was meant to oppress us. No better revenge than to make good of something meant to hurt us.
just for info, that silver necklace around their neck, hmong people call it lub xauv, when translated to english literally means a lock. even though i'm hmong i don't understand why we would wear something that reminds us of when the chinese use to lock our necks as slaves.
