The approach isn't so crazy, it's like in madeira there is a visual navigation point where the pilots follow and this makes them turn along the coast. They were a bit to fast. Believe me, i'm a pilot and approached already to corfu every summer.
If you are a pilot as you say so, you sure need to improve your identification skills, this is clearly a 767-200, I can even tell from the noise it makes.
I'm not familiar with Corfu, so I don't know whether this is normal or indeed a crazy landing, it does look pretty spectacular though.
Just from vis-a-vis the Mouse Island; a parking ground at the shoreline (the main road from Kerkyras to Lefkimmis). So the B767 (o.k., so than it is no Tupolew, although it was somewhat strange looking and sounding to me (a loud and high frequency sound, like 110% N1 running early 60ies B707)) made a 90° turn from base to short final just 600 m from touchdown...
That was similar to a Kai Tak landing.
