I did this somehow...but could never do it again...lol. took me 967 goes I think when I did it in the end...though more due to frustation... :D

where do u find this puzzle on the game?

You have to collect all the pieces of the painting to unlock the Art Lover's House,then get all the Inn items to unlock The Decorator's House, then find all the pieces of Gizmo (the dog) to unlock The Inventor's house and finally complete the main game to unlock the Golden Apple House. They are in the bonus section on the main menu, then select Layton's challenges to access them. Complete all of those bonus challenges and a final bonus house Puzzle Master appears and this puzzle is in there.

you'll have to solve every puzzle in the game, including all the bonus puzzles, then you'll unlock the last bonus categorie where you find the last 3 puzzles
