I use to have one of these exactly, same color and year, as my first car, god I hated it. That put put sound, I despised it, and downshifting to third up the hills while everyone else passed you. Mexico remained the model until 2003 .. Mexico produces 90 percent of aftermarket parts with the same german quality, in fact, Mexico builds the 2012 VW Beetle for all countries... proof of the VW Mexico quality...
