The blue part in the center of the shield. Is that something you have to paint? or does the shield come in parts of 2 or 3 with white and blue to put together.
@rasendori16 Of course it's powerful...but it's not a god. UC suits depend more on their pilots than the suit itself...of course, a good suit DOES make a difference...but it isn't like in SEED and 00 where the pilots can win BECAUSE of the suits they are in.
For instance, if Amuro was in a Jegan and a grunt pilot was in the Hi-Nu, Amuro would still win.
@Glyre777 first off you are right that a good pilot makes a big difference no matter how powerful the suit is but is isn't just that way with the newtypes in UC, what about coordinators and SEED mode in SEED and what about super soldiers and innovators in 00. and second i am not saying that no matter who is in the cockpit the hi nu gundam will trump all, i'm just stating the fact that the suit itself is considered to be one of the most powerful in the franchise, and nothing more.
for the dry decals, cut around them, then line them up and tape them down exactly where you want them. then rub over them with a toothpick or something like that a fair bit. when you take off the backing, peel it slowly, so you can see if it all transferred to the gundam, and if not, put it back down and repeat. good luck!
hmm...I'm pretty darn satisfied with my HGUC Hi-Nu...I got no problems with it. I don't really care about the fin funnels cuz I don't have a stand that doesn't take up a lot of space for them. The legs balance nicely on mine and I used glue to tighten the waist so it doesn't sag backwards. Great review though, hoping to see the HGUC Unicorn sometime soon too.
good thing about hg is they dun hv much stuff and the parts would not fall easily unlike my 00 raiser gundam designer version i dun dare to touch my 00 cuz i scared the gn sheild will drop and the gn drive
Great review, everybody mentions the fin funnels not being fully articulated (for me, it was obvious since the moment the HG was announced), but for me the most important thing you said was the chest bending backwards because of the weight in the back, didn't like that aspect. Maybe you could glue the waist, but that would imply losing articulation.
Btw, could you do a small video about how to apply dry decals? the waterslide are easier (and more expensive) but the dry ones can be a problem
Well not in that sense. I love reborns. Amuro's last physical gundam was hinu. Then Ribbons who had amuro's voice actor piloted the reborns. :) I love both and im hoping for a Reborns MG someday haha.
LoL, talk about synchronicity. I just got the 1/100 MG Hi-Nu today, the box is as big as a PG, a PG and it's only 1/100!! Couldn't believe it. Looking forward to the comparison, was a little bummed to hear that there's no articulation of the wings with the 1/100.
Also there's a solid helmet on the 30th anny HG version. Although there's a slight join line that's easily removed with a little clean up.
wizartar, the MG actually has joints for each fin funnel, so you can angle them individually. it's just the wing mounts themselves can only move side, not up and down like they do on the HGUC. have fun with the MG!
Great review, but I thought it felt a little rushed. Not a problem though, since you seemed to cover everything well enough. The two combined fin funnel assembly kinda sucks, but then again, since there's no way to actually display them in flight, it doesn't make much difference. I'm more annoyed by the all grey weapons. But still, I'd definitely get this if Bandai decides to make a HGUC Nightingale as well. (Fingers crossed!) ;D
hmm, i wonder if i could put the wing binders on the unicorn...
immrgrunty1363 3 months ago
I hate how you need to buy 3 of these just so one can come somewhat close to the MG.

I have the Master Grade I loved it. Its a shame I cannot find the funnel energy beams or the plastic rods to make it use the funnels. :(

according to wikipedia, if this is not
THE most powerful mobile suit in the franchise, then it is definetely one of the most powerful suits in the entire gundam metaseries!

Thinking about getting this, but im not sure. I have enough suits with flashy backpacks and maybe I should just go with something simpleer.

What do you think is more worth it? An expensive cost of $73 for the MG Hi Nu or $23 for the HGUC Hi Nu?

fintional upgrades i dont get it?
albertoxFTW 2 years ago
Its Amuro's best Gundam but it was only in the novel. In the novel the Nu gundam was upgraded to Hi-Nu bacause they had time to test it.
The Nu gundam however is Amuro's last official gundam, as seen in the movie Chars Counterattack.

The HWS actually allows all Funnels to come off, and doesn't have the new, and in my opinion fugly, proportions of the Hi-Nu redesign.

If I were you I'd get the Hi-Nu. I have one too and I'm very pleased by it.

why are HGUC model kits more expensive than reg HG model kits?
steamburn123 2 years ago
They are better, more likely. More work tends to be put into it, especially the recent HGUC.
