YOU HAD TO GET OUT YOUR HANKERCHIEF AND WAVE IT HIGH IN THE AIR DO THE POPEYE AND SLIP AND SLIDE ALL OVER THE FLOOR .ME AND A FRIEND OF MINE EROLD GOT TO WEAR ONE OF EDDIE BOE TURBON'S TO DO THE DANCE .HOT ROD
@RRRicard0 You just so happened to post this on my favorite Eddie Bo songs. You're gonna hear a lot of great stuff. I would also suggest you Google him. He basically lived in recording studios and when not singing, he was "talent scouting", recording others and producing.
@misstayva You are absolutely 100% right! Those early years had the pure New Orleans sound and I suppose because of Eddie's longevity in the business, it was inevitable that he would head over to a more funky sound as did Toussaint. That being said, it still goes back to your observation....the Ric recordings were the best!
@horseshoefarm3 Good Lord. I forgot all about "The Arrow Room". BTW, this is my favorite Eddie Bo song too. They played this a lot on WNOE. Not sure about WTIX. I found WNOE was a bit more in tune to the local artists. Great memories though. Thanks for commenting and reminding me of the Arrow Room. I'm still trying to remember a place on Burgundy in the Quarter. It was on a corner, about the 500 or 600 block. The Aubrey Twins played there a lot. Thinking it was like a guys name.

It's a shame that his Ric material was disregarded by many... along with all of the killer R&R stuff! This is the best stuff!!!!!!!!
