  • Now time to add automatic receipts. :D

  • What about him?

  • you walk near a checkout and end up paying for some one elses stuff

  • i like it

  • cool

  • thumbs up if u started craving subway while watching this :p

  • All I heard was blah blah blah. More convenient yes, more secure, I'm not certain.

  • @turtiturt - Valid points, but still not convinced it's going to revolutionize the shopping *experience*. Impulse buying increase is not such a good thing, it will increase the attention and importance of the cooling off period. Credit Cards are now getting faster to use with new technology chips, so I don't see G wallet will be any faster.

What happens when your mobile phone runs out of batteries while shopping? can't buy anything?

  • it would be awesome if there is a "google card" so if you do not want to use a credit card you buy this card and it refill the google wallet account

  • It's amazing how these people think a new payment system will vastly improve the shopping experience.

  • @CreditCardsAussie Payments in often a big influencer on retail purchasing. For one, impulse purchasing will increase due to the restrictions on physical currency/card being removed, yet also, the payment process time is also set to be reduced so customers will wait less time

  • Every time they use the word experience I'm sick of them saying improve this improve that give me a break, I'm not sold on this idea at all, is it fast than whipping my wallet & swiping my card I think not, as far as security, you credit card covers you any way if you card is lost or stolen so there's your security. is just another way far them to make money.

  • Jeeez, great putting Walgreens in there guys. What, Google just had to payout $500 M to settle this online pharmacy lawsuit. Gee, we promise that you can trust us in Walgreens. Sure we won't access your drug records. What you are looking for is a fun experience, just like that bi...ch from the dept. sore is telling you, loser.

  • Seriously, know what your commenting on. 1: Most ppl have multiple cards. Phone can hold all. 2: If phone is stolen, google will be able to detect via satelite where it is, also entire program/app is encrypted and protected. 3: You should memorize your account number anyway. If phone battery dies, shouldn't be too much of an issue. 4: In America 90% of merchants accept credit cards. That's not a dream. This is more conveniant and secure. I don't even work for them, and I know this from my job...

  • how is any more convenient than taking out your wallet, please enlighten me, maybe secure but not convenient, any way I don't think it will really take off, just like there payment system google checkout did not.

  • @readynow12345 Every morning I go by the store to buy something, listening to music on my phone, rather than pausing the music, digging in my pockets for my wallet, sticking in the CC, and waiting forever. I can just make a few taps on my phone, and done. I guess it just depends on the person :)

  • @readynow12345 Think about PayPass with your debit card. What does that save you, 3 seconds? It's hardly anything at all. This is just a different method to do that same thing. As far as it not taking off, it's not like a store has to have a separate scanner for Wallet, it's the same unit as PayPass. If the entire country stopped using Wallet all at once, those things would still get used.

  • How's this different than your debit card... are people really that lazy

  • what if my phone battery suddenly runs off ??

will i be broke ?! till i go back home to get my cards or beg for a charger

  • @sheikalarab it will be the same when a car run out of the petrol.

    don't act like ignorant.

  • the moneto mobile wallet is great alternative for those not on sprint and without a nexus s 4G phone..learn more: moneto.me

  • There is another corner around the corner.

  • it US only

  • I wish google wallet could "carry" a driver's license. Because I'm forced to carry that everywhere :(

  • When does it come to india??

  • @yask124 ha in india not all the stores have credit card facility so this is a dream :)

  • @evilbrain100: the dream in Vietnam as well :(

  • @yask124 Dont get your hopes up, its not even available to all of the US yet :/

  • very cool, but I think it'll take some time for it to catch on to really be practical

  • meh.. I wouldnt want to use this

  • This is Capitalism!

  • The moneto mobile wallet can also work at these same retailers...visit our website to learn more: moneto.me

  • you need to enter a code to use the creditcard if you lose your phone u cant just use the phone for credit card its SECURE

  • This is just an awesome product for the impulse buyer who doesnt want to take the time to think about his purchase. Whatever is quick easy and convenient. Dont worry about the big ass bill in the mail and the interest, service charges that come along with it resulting in paying two or three times for the product. Sounds fucking brilliant for Google!! Most american consumers are just impulse buyers. that is great for creditors like soon to be google. Love this material corporate world!

  • Does anyone else think google have completely ripped off the way Apple do their commercials?

  • @SamRommer No, not at all. What did they rip off? I honestly doesn't see a single similarity between this and any apple commercial

  • Interesting. Expecting the same in all over the world :) When it possible?

  • Faster? More Fun? It is not faster with the little old lady in front of you still paying with a check. Anybody remember the IBM(?) comercial where a shady guy was stuffing items in his shirt and pockets and just walks out - the security guard walks up to him and hands him his receipt?

Someday you will not be allowed in a store unless you have your implanted chip :)

  • How do I get this app? I have the Nexus S 4G from Sprint and I have received no update.

  • 54 seconds in: The proper grammar would be to say "take fewer things" as the 'things' in question are countable. Use 'less' if you are referring to an uncountable amount of items eg. "take less stuff"

  • I have dialing on my super D duper smart phone. I can take pics, and we block sending and receiving them, we block texting. Life is simple. I don't get interrupted , I don't receive texts, or emails, or voice mails, or pictures. My life is peaceful. We have a PC at home. Its really an OLD way to live life. I love it. Think I'll hold on to my cash and credit cards and let the crooks find a way to hack into phones for a while. You all go ahead and be the bait. = )

  • What a shitty video.

  • can i use this at a strip club ?

  • more ads on my phone...!!! That's gonna be fantastic...!!! i often look at my phone and say "if only there were more ads and offers i don't care about, it would be perfect."

  • We are all now women now.

  • @warlord90210 Repetitive. Try again using 1 'now'.

  • And if they steal my phone?

  • @paumoreeeno What if they stole your credit card?

  • @warlord90210 i call my bank to report it.. and is much easier to know if they stole your wallet instead of your phone

  • @paumoreeeno Yea! Exacly!

  • World's largest advertising company wants access to my purchase records, along with what they have: my emails, my complete web browsing history, my search history, my address and location, my favourite websites, and my comments on youtube, my friends and all their personal info too.

Man, I would be stupid to use this.

Yeah, that's what i said about GMail too...

  • i love GWallet!!!! hey what that´s song?

  • Notice how they say "Her" , Women are going to be there Trolls, B/c Men really dgaf Until they see that MILF Doing it. then men will jump on it, then Google will make billions of dollars. Genius !!!

  • @shodyblz idiot--'milf" nice .

  • @shodyblz She was saying "her" because she was a rep from a clothing store that typically only sells to women, and that's how customers are referred to in that type of environment. I'm a guy and I'm pretty excited to use this when I get my Galaxy Nexus.

  • SwipeYourPhones Ladies and Gentlemen

  • I like the idea of this more than I actually like the app itself. Like Chrome OS, you know?

  • Well I hate you anyway sooo bye

  • @tuberidin01 I already know the chip implants was written into the healthcare bill also the gov changed laws about a year ago stating that the GOV. has a right to gps every us citizen around this time steelvault merged with verichip now called chip in the stock market

  • @crunknicka u r correct next stage this is just a slick way to put the software in place and all of a sudden surprise

  • NEW WORLD ORDER FOLKS!! HERE IT IS!! Hmmmm let's see the future. People buy shit on their sell phones, no need for people to work at the store becuase you order your shit and just drive over to the store to pick it up. Maybe they might have one person working at the store which would be a security guard incase people want to try on clothes. GREAT JOB Google.. WHAT A GREAT WAY TO PUT PEOPLE OUT OF WORK!!!! NEW WORLD ORDER!!!

  • except no one is buying anything these days.

  • haha she has always controlled the wallet .......... stupid!!!!

New World Order!

  • mark of the beast much?

  • What an appalling piece of marketing! A series of slick video clips saying "it's great", but no actual demonstration of what it is or what the value is to consumers!

  • hmph so guys dont like to shop? BULLSHIT. i guess all us fabulous metrosexuals out here are just gonna have to go without.... (sarcasm)

  • PLEASE GOOLGE, PLEEEEEASE don't for iPhone -.-

The own created Apple apps, are not available for Android. so do it like them!! :(

  • To bad its only for phones with those payment chips x(!!!

  • 666

  • Unemployment? If Google rolls out Google Wallet and it becomes a global sensation...don't you think that Google would have to employ more workers?! It is a cyclical folks...

  • another way to get everyone trap. Getting rid of the dollar system. don't be fooled

  • Apple is gonna put NFC technology on there idevice

  • lemme guess...US only??

  • Hey Google, this is so lame copy of Apple videos! You can do better.

  • I dont know . Maybe google will take away what apps you bought and your money also.Like in taiwan.

  • wwwtappayandsavecom

google wallet - this is the future. They say 87% will be using this by 2014,whatttt thats crazy.

  • WARNING! DANGER! DANGER! If you use aD words on your site to make income don't comment or they will shut you down.

  • i'm glad google stole this from a former paypal employee because paypal sucks they deserve to go down...karma is a bitch!!!!

  • whats every ones problem with this. This is ground breaking technology. There will always be other jobs. Besides this wont take jobs because its just a the same thing as a credit card.

  • and for those bible freaks remember.. 666 is the number of the beast, but 667 is the number of the dude who lives right across from the beast...

  • i wish one day i will be found on God's court and will check my phone besides the women in the club and realized i was running google wallet, and will receive the big rejection to his kingdom. You have deceived me, you have the mark of the Google Beast.. burn in hell!!!!!

  • @juan1974mendez wtf is your problem.......freak

  • @RockzUrSocz i am making a joke for those who think carrying this kind of wallet confirms your friendship with the beast.. read comments below.

  • girls will no longer be looking more into your wallet but instead will be checking if you have an android phone running google wallet.

  • who would imagine my grandmother is from a town in Guatemala ( San Francisco el Alto, Totonicapan ), which still uses bartering. It is very common to exchange a live chicken for a cat. I will get to experience some day google wallet. how things change among generations.

  • You should be able to change products to your phone bill.

  • Yep just replace the service industry with automated electronic machines. That will increase the employment in the country!

  • @certise uuhm.. all they did was replace credit cards, or debit cards...

  • @Alex13N are you incapable of logical thought? first was credit cards, now its google wallet, there are already self check-out machines in so many stores. all these things save money for companies meaning that, new technology = less workers = profit

  • @certise And makes shopping more convenient for customers..

  • @Alex13N oh yeah sure as long as the shopping is convenient who cares about anything else! do you not realize? less workers means UNEMPLOYMENT. unemployment means there will be no customers! but people like you can't see that. go ahead and buy into this crap. i hope you have a fun and convenient shopping experience! because everyone knows the most important thing in life is SHOPPING

  • @certise No, but this is part of the technological development, there are other jobs, in most of the world anyways..

  • @Alex13N are you being serious? the service industry in america alone is 76.9%. alright so let's make way for technological advancement and let 242 million people go unemployed. and what do you mean? so let america suffer from unemployment as long as other parts of the world have jobs? that doesn't even make sense.

  • @certise Yep, phones replacing credit cards are gonna make 77% of americans unemployed... and you say im not capable of logical thought, lol

  • @Alex13N yeah because that's definitely what i said right? im not talking about google wallet. im talking about technological advancement and machines replacing workers. google wallet is such a part of the big picture. but im just going to stop now because you obviously under your small rock cannot even understand anything im saying

  • @certise You think new technology just comes out of thin air? There's a lot of R&D that goes into it. Those are jobs. The machines will need maintenance. Those are jobs. The increase in automated transactions will need more people to process and maintain the systems in the backend. Those are jobs.

  • @DoubleX31 wrote that comment 2 months ago. get over it

  • when are they bringing in the google opt-out box? Zeitgeist now!

  • I think Google used this to advertise all these companies in the video to fund Google Wallet

  • I don't even understand why we still even have money, what ever happened to good, old fashioned bartering? On second thought, don't even answer this...

  • I liked wallet, he was a pretty cool guy, he allowed me to hold things other than credit cards and doesn't afraid of anything....except maybe Google.

  • Does it have a month of free trial?

  • These people can't wait to except the mark of the beast.

  • SECURITY concerns?? ..LMAO..RIGHT NOW SEVERAL PPL ACROSS THE WORLD HAVE UR SENSITIVE DATA ALREADY!!! banks and data processes get hacked routinely... so why are u worried about e-wallets/e-payments???

  • People who think that this is archaic are themselves archaic. Just because your afraid of change does not mean that the world is going to end or your personal information will be stolen. If your phone is stolen, the thief would still need your PIN to be able to access your information. This just reduces the amount of things that thieves can steal, i.e. your wallet and all of your credit card in addition to your phone.

  • want to ko credit card?

  • what the consumer is looking for todaiiiiiii lol

  • its gonna be great

    its gonna be cool

    its gonna be exciting

    its gonna be very usable

    its gonna be customer friendly

    its gonna be bla...

    its gonna be bluh..?

its gonna be get out from here...

  • tappayandsave com

  • 1:44 Yuck mayo

  • como se llama la cancion de fondo?

How called the song in the background/sondtrack?

  • This has already been in Japan for quite a while. It's worked well, and we're only now beginning to have access to this technology.

    Just google "osaifu keitai"

So stop whining because you're not used to "these new-fangled technologies." These aren't the days where you walk uphill both ways to get to school.

  • No more clerk= no more jobs, fucking corporates!

  • Now think. Who the f*ck besides the people who watched this video know about this....?

  • People the technology is called NFC. You literally have to be within 2 inch for the responder to pick up the signal. And who doesn't put a password on their phone?.. and if you're dumb enough to forget your phone you deserve to loose your money. J's gg no re

  • How much time remains until the pirates cr4ck the Google Wallet?

  • 3 words... and if hacked?

  • Google rules!

  • @godwin972 Google rules cuz God always wins! Got it? godwin?

  • what happens when someone steals your phone?

how are hackers prevented? someone could use a frequency scanner + recorder to steal someone's transaction information, couldn't they?

It really does not seem very reliable. i'd be very hesitant to use this.

  • sure!! a faster way to take money from u.

     without even talking to u.

  • @chabarf We are all being "trained" to be better consumers. Consumerism keeps the unseen cash moving around the world. Can you see that money as we know it will be eliminated? Your earning will be a form of spending points. There will be no need for money or the Federal Reserve. They will have nothing to control. Google and the banks will make money off of retailers like me when they charge us for selling you products through a credit card or gift cards or some other form of value. Cool, ey?

  • Tell me the song. now.

  • What's the song name? Where can i buy / find it?

  • just another way to pick your pocket.........picking your pocket made easy

  • @frank0819 haha

  • @frank0819 you could steal a wallet and credit card aswel

  • Anybody who thinks it's not secure is a retard.

It's much easier for somebody to buy something with your debit card than it is with your google phone

  • @frank0819 You really think stealing a phone would be easier than stealing a credit card. And even if you have the phone you still need a password to unlock the transaction. and its not like you can just sniff the nfc when it is in the users pocket. This is much more secure than a credit card, I wish people would actually do research for once

  • @hortsche

    More secure? no such thing.

  • @hortsche

I love the smell of NFC in the morning :-)

  • @hortsche amen brother

  • i lost my wallet on a night out but i still have my phone... if only i had this...

  • Apple-ish marketing yeah!..right? haha lol. A great service anyway great work google

  • Comment removed

  • The two ignorants who're the top comments obviously don't understand what this means and arn't able to read between the lines. This is part of what the future is holding and Google is at the forefront. WTG Google!

  • Looks interesting. It's not available for my phone (MT4G) or any of my banks. Sorry, Google, I will not switch banks or buy a new phone with another carrier just to use this service. If Google plans to revolutionize the way we pay for purchases, it will have to expand its range of devices, banks, and merchants. This is too new and limited to be ready for launch.

  • trash

  • Where will I keep my driver's license?

  • "It's gonna change how poeple (paus) shop..."

  • Then comes "Google Hacker". No thanks, I'll keep my card in my real wallet thank you very much.

  • Yes, let's spend money faster, then we will have more time to work harder to have more money to spend even faster.

  • Most functions of smartphones have already been used in Japan for years.

  • Is this a technology just for women? All they kept saying throught the video was this makes it better for her, gives her a better experience, suits her better lol

  • @ayrshiredude I think that they just used "her" because thats who The Container Store targets. Not necessarily just a technology for women.

  • @ayrshiredude Try being a woman for a day and realizing that most "theoretical" people are referred to as "he" and "him".

  • @tehamoeba stfu..cant spell female without MALE..she, w/out HE...woman w/out MAN..get it???

  • @dissidentme1 inb4 christians quoting the first book of the bible.

  • @ayrshiredude: well said man! i was starting to wonder has the world started to see the WOMEN as their prime customers.. hehe and there go your comment .. made me laugh a lot .. ;D

  • @ayrshiredude The only one who keeps using "she" is the Macy's representative. All the others use gender neutral words like "the cutomer." Since women are the target consumers at Macy's stores, it would make sense that their marketing would be directed at women.

But tell me this: if a representative of Gamestop or Home Depot were on here and used the word "he," would it be as striking to you?

  • @ayrshiredude As I watched the video 80% of the store owners referred to their customers as "customers" while the one woman store owner referred to "she" and "her" - yet, typically shopping has been a female experience and targeted through the years for certain. It doesn't help with the imagery shown having so many women and not men shown. It's definitely not just for women.

What I'd like to know is how the google wallet works. Isn't it like the credit card pass where they slide it in line?

  • @ayrshiredude Hi there. Only one out of five store owners talked about "her" while the remaining four referred to "the customer" without talking about gender. However, the message was made stronger by showing images of women actively shopping. Research has shown that traditionally women spend more, We do live in the 21st Century where men are very much present, willing and participating in "our" world in many ways. We women love them for it! I too wish more men were shown in this clip.

  • @ayrshiredude

The only person in the video referring to women was the EVP from Macy's. I also found it weird that she was only referring to women but it makes sense for her to stick with it because it seems like the majority of Macy's demographic is women.

  • @Gobriala When I first watched it I was amazed that EVP of Macy's only referred to women/"she." So I turned on close caption to see if my ears were lying to me.

  • @ayrshiredude well it was only one person that was using the word her and she, and that lady was from Macy's.

  • Google Wallet looks Awesome!

  • @gatubea so what if jews own it we also own hollywood and we run the lawers so wana suie me go ahead and we save your fucking life cuz were docters too so watch wat u say

  • now companys can take money in 2 seconds not 10 seconds uhhhhhhh thats crazy shit

  • Narrator: Google Wallet - Turn all your money over to us so when someone steals your phone you better have a back-up card or else you're completely f***ed!

  • Yeah, yeah, yeah...All that glitter and jazz, but the main question is...

    WHY?
