  • This is such a great song!

    I love it <3

  • If I were from India, I might be an Indian too! - ha

  • SNEJANA ONOPKA walked on this!

  • YES! I'm INDIAN TOO! I like NAVAHO! OMAHA! I dont remember the Lyrics to the original song,But this just sounds like an upbeat DISCO Version.

  • My Grandmother is full blooded NATIVE AMERICAN Her hair reached her buttucks,She was able to sit on her beautiful black long wavy hair,She reminded me of the HAWIIAN chicks with the grass skirts except her hair is more thick, she was a very pale complextion lady,Beautiful hair,i luved her hair,it was her glory,as a child i always drew TEE Pees, and had a heavy intrest in indians, bow&arrows, mocosians, drums, feathers,i always put my hand over my mouth& made the indian sound,I did Rain dance etc.

  • In my JHS Play i had to audition as a dancer for the play "ANNIE GET YOUR GUN" we had to do singing too,I was nervous a lil bit because the director said she directed the original broadway play "ANNIE GET YOUR GUN" but i succeeded, and this was 1 of my favorite songs from that play,i put my heart&soul in dancing to this song, and i liked our customs too,When the play was finish most of the caucasian parents said i was the only 1 on stage that looked like a TRUE INDIAN,and they said i wasGoodDANCER

  • I remember singing this song in my junior high play, for "ANNIE GET YOUR GUN" we were dressed like indians, and doing an indian dance,The other girls were caucasian, and their was 1 black girl then me,I am Native American, partially,i had the pocahuntus look,a part in the middle of my head, with black long braids, and a thin ribbon tied around my heAd,we were in a beige color skirt outfit with fringes, and we were taught a indian dance routine for this particular song,The caucasians said i look INDIAN.

  • awesome song. It's funny though because she's singing about americans not indians

  • @NetworkHuman She's singing about American Indians. She even calls them out by name. Look at the album cover!!!!

  • what an annoying thing to say. she's obviously singing about american indians. and besides, if you want to get technical about the nomenclature, "native americans", as they're called, did not call themselves americans. they didn't even acknowlege the race they belong to, which is why tribal names are as broad as any racial term in their lexicon.

  • I heard this on a Crookers Dj set and once again this weekend played by The Twelves...I was looking for this song for almost 2 years...and now I finally found it!

    Cheers!

  • it's so freakin good that there should be a license to play this out.

  • Omg! Lol idk whyyyyyyyyy but this song is so much fun! Haha

  • U kno' what, gladitsnotme, U R absolutely right 'n exact...there was some extra music that fades back in at the end of the song!!! That was one of the unique qualities of this jam...

  • I rememba this shit when it first drop'd...I was 'bout 5 years old, 'n my ol' earth (mother) brought this home! I've always been a "B-side" kinda person, so when I told her to flip the record over, 'n this came on...I was like "oh snap, this some otha shit! (in my head, of course...LOL). Been lookin' for this song for 'bout 20+ years now!!! FIYA...

  • is this the original? sounds it. i used to have the7 inch of this when i was a kid, never thought i would hear it ever again.

  • There's a hip hop version of this song somewhere.

  • Thanks for keeping the memory of Don Armando alive. I worked with Don in NYC and L.A. He was a genius at creating unique and thought provoking lyrics. He was the master of the polysyllabic words. "Noblesse oblige" is part of my vocabulary now. I bow to the master!

  • THE SHIT!!! all you haters are little bitches.

  • I can't find this song anywhere. Someone help!!

  • look in itunes under mutant disco comp.

  • i LOVE that mix. so much.

  • excellent song

  • i herd this song like a week ago on the radio and i hadda listen to it again lol \.. worst of all the volome was all the way up and people were looking at me like i was gay or somthing aha

  • AHHHH DUMONT IS SOOOO GAY

  • fulltilt

  • dumont is gay

  • straighter than u

  • you're both gay. :)

  • thanks for uploading this. this is fucking awesome

  • Love the way they worked in all the names of the Native American tribes on that track...

If M.I.A. would do a version of that, she'd go, "I'm a Tamil, Hindu, a little bit Urdu..."

  • HELLA! switch dedicated this song to maya on bbc radio a few month back.

hella wet my pants when i first heard this cut.

  • FUCK Diplo and Switch for playing this EXACT mix and labeling it as Major Lazer!

    It's a 1979 track ffs

  • dude I don't think they were fronting like it was a song they made or anything, I mean they also played Buddy Holly and that crazy barry white sounding thing... They were doing a major lazer takeover, like playing a mix they picked out, but I think they only played a couple major lazer songs.

  • Yeah, you're totally right man. A friend and I were talking about it and if you think about it it's actually the DJ's fault.

I'm a fan of Diplo myself but I'd still throw out some hate if I saw any artist do stuff like that; well knowingly do it at least.

  • The Paper Planes remix he played was a bunch of mixes other dj's did that he just put on one track. Like the annie lennox edit at the beginning was from b.cause of San Francisco

  • DIPLO, not diple my bad lol

  • diple and mia played this on BBC radio 1 recently.

  • OMG I Have To Sing This (Not Disco Version)

And I Looked It Up, Thinking Finally One I Can Practice To.

It Started, I Was Like, Okaay?

    And Then A Siii-oouuux A Sioux

    Played

    I Was Like Whaaat?!

    Lol.

  • Fonda Rae sang lead on this and deputy of love...

  • You'd have thought by the time of the disco years in the late '70s, when old songs like this one were being redone with the ridiculously repetitive disco beat, that someone would've had the presence of mind to not revive such a racist piece. But maybe it was the cocaine and Quaaludes that made people not think straight...

  • Think "tongue-in-cheek", my friend...

  • repetitive disco beat? all dance music genre's have repetitive beats my friend, and they have always been much more well received than any other music genre.

  • My friend used this for her fashion/costume show (based on monsters)at my school. Perfect

  • haha...i heard it in the show and that's why i looked it up.

  • same here

  • lolz

  • This song upsets me...... sexually.

  • @gunitzpqm i have the same synthom hahahahaha

  • i love this song

  • thats so cool.

  • Hehe. <3
