I've owned chevy ford and dodge. And honestly every dogs I've ever owned has been stellar. The Ford was crap the Chevy was crappier. For years Chrysler has worried more about engine and tranny quality. They've never worried about how COOL a car looks. Maybe I've been lucky but I own this caliber and I love it!
I believe the 3 dial climate control design has been around in Japanese cars long before this Caliber ... no matter how they make the interior feel `upscale`, it`s still a Dodge ... even Chevrolet and Ford has brought their world class compact cars to North America, time for Chrysler to step up to the game ...
I just purchased a 2011, after trading in my 2008 Caliber. I don't know why so many people complain and b**ch about this car (pro reviewers and general YouTube comments especially). My 2008 drove like it did when it was brand new before I traded it in with 93,000 miles on it. I see nothing wrong with the interior, mine doesn't rattle around when driving like others claim, sure it's not a Mercedes or BMW, but I'm not paying for one either. It's an affordable, reliable, stylish vehicle.
Because it's literally a pile of trash. The "Rush" version is supposed to be fast but I timed it at over 10 seconds to 60. You can see how much I was defending it a few months back before I realize that I bought a pile of trash. The R/T verison is the same above 10's to 60.
Lol..I just traded it in for a 2011 Kia Sorento. I rented one last week and I didn't realize what I was missing. The Sorento is much better than the Caliber. The engine, style and fit/finish are far better.
@taoufiks: First, you spelled moron wrong. Second, the updated interior of the 2010 Caliber is a million times better than the 2007 model. If you can't see the difference, you obviously need glasses. I would recommend you check out the newer Caliber the next time a major Autoshow is in your area, or skip the wait and actually test drive one. And when I mean test drive, I mean actually go to a dealer and test one, not rely on a rental that has been abused by 10,000 asses.
@ElkinsCharger why should i test one!!?i have a black caliber mod 2007 and i like it.still see anything new in the caliber 2010.try to find a job in dodge companie or something like that...u have a brillant carriere
0:57 the 3 dial design is already in other cars on the market, come up with somethng else...this dude is trying so hard to justify the new interior and make it seem like a major step FORWARD IN INTERIOR design....NOT!!!
Does anyone know why CVT revs to redline under full throttle? Seems it should rev to peek torque instead for best performance. Or am I missing something?
Looks kinda plsticy but all in all I think it will bring a few more customers into the showroom. And hopefully Chrysler will replace other interiors on there cars with the interior in the caliber as well.
I support Chrysler 100 percent, but it's gonna take a little more than some LED cupholders and a storage bin to sway some people. The fact that they emphasize padded center console and door armrests is a nice touch, and it's a disgrace that the 2010 Caliber will have such things that my 2006 300 didn't have (hard armrests, hard center console cover).
It's an improvement, and for the segment it's competitive, but they need to be doing a little more than this to get to the top of the class.

@SecularTechnology this car wasnt built for racing. its built to carry luggage and kids
beside, if you want cars with speed, you could get some faster sports cars.
just coz this car is slow, doesnt mean its absolute pile of trash, every cars are built for different purpose

That's fair, I just don't like how they put a badge on it like it's going to be fast, and then Automobile and others test it at over 10 seconds to 60.
