i love that you did this vid. I have this phone and it's been PISSING ME OFF that i've not been able to type using the qwerty keyboard on it. I also didn't know the button part with the volume control. I think I'll try the 90degree angle tip, it looks most natural, but I'd've never thought of it.
ok um i dont mean to be mean, im usually not, its nice you tried, but that was a horrible video for txting. people do not use pens for iphone they dont work well at all its almost impossible and well its really bad for scratching your screen. that flip is annoying but most people want to text at decent speeds. once again not trying to be mean or tear your video apart but thumbs are only way to go. solution? make a new crave where the flip has a slide clip type release to fold all the way to back
um, then why comment? i put these here for people to learn more about the phone. you can choose not to watch them, I am not a professional, and the majority of people value the videos i post. People do use pens, that's why they sell them. The screen is glass, it does not scratch easily.
because people don't need to be thinking that they can use a stylus with the iphone. and with how long it took to type all those ways you showed. well txting would be useless. i said i wasnt trying to be mean just be realistic. could you show us typing on it fast maybe? see how it keeps up?
well, yes & no. calibration: this is a cap touch screen not resistive. when you turn on the phone or open/close the flip, it recalibrates- just make sure you are not touching it during these times. sensitivity: no, there is no adjustment- like iphone, cap touch doesn't need a direct press on the screen like resistive touch.
I have problems with mine punching in letters that I didn't hit. And sometimes I have to jam a button to get it to work. Anybody experience these issues too?
caps work fine when the phone is sideways- press the 'up' arrow below the 'a' key once for a single upper case, or press the up arrow twice to lock cap locks on
i and a few of my friends have this phone and it is terrible! great idea bcuz of the keyboard AND touchscreen but the touchscreen is terrible! it does not work half the time! i kno so many ppl that have gotten new phones bcuz of it! as a matter of fact i am about to and i was actually choosing between the xv6900 and the krave. unless u r buying a phone to use for work or business reasons, go with the Krave!
omg i wanted the glyde really bad but they stopped selling it so i got the krave instead and its pretty good but its hard to text cuz the screen is really sensitive
I just found this out tonight. When you using the Qwerty keyboard....if you hit the up arrow (for caps) You get one capital and then it goes back to lowercase. If you tap it twice (the up arrow) they stay in caps. I really glad I figured that out...it helps. Hope it helps others. *outbackjack9* thought you would like to know since you have done some good video footage on the KRAVE.
why does you keypad look so different?

I now use the technique of putting the index finger over the flip. It gives my thumb a wider range of movement, THANKS!!!!

Is there a way to calibrate or lessen the sensitivity of the touch screen?
MindVentriloquism 2 years ago

You can't use capital letters when the phone is sideways..... or is just me?

I know where the caps button is, yet the letters never come out capital, even if do caps lock.
CardMagic12345 2 years ago

can you text with the flip closed?
snazzybrookecheeto 2 years ago
no, the earpiece would be in the way so the only two ways are flip open with the regular keypad (0-9 keys) or in landscape with the qwerty

the touch screen on the krave is like the iphone- it senses your finger without needing to press on the screen, some like it some don't

i find it is faster to type normally. Not qwerty, but either abc or iTap.
jeradbressler1212 2 years ago
once again, you can easily get caught texting in class just like the storm. i dont want this one either, but it has a nice design flow to it
