  • Bluto and the Seahag disliked this.

  • I'm strong to the finish, cause I eats my spinach. I'm Popeye the sailor man.

  • Gotta love Popeye. I might not have ever cared about spinach if it weren't for him.

  • audio!

  • Not really necessary to have to put the title over the video.

  • Popeye is an amazing singer

  • O.o he wears a corset? 0:40

  • i love how in the backround only 2 doors change and its the biggest ship ive ever seen

  • love this bring back memories

been so long since i go back to it

  • No one can do what Popeye does when he eats his Spinach!

  • Popeye best cartoon made 5 stars

  • Popeye came along in an era when his brand of random destruction could be tolerated. In the dark and often desperate days of the Great Depression, the idea of one small guy standing up, fighting back and winning held widespread appeal.

And if a few odds and ends got demolished, nobody would raise a fuss. Often it was Popeye's "demolition feats" that ended a fight before it began...

  • By the way... What means "Gazookas"?

  • Wow, I love Popeye. I remember my grandpa used to watch Popeye with me as a child. Excellent song, by the way! 5 stars!

  • my favorite cartoon

  • Let's go Popeye!

  • lol. Randomly kills things. I liked the end. "well blow me!"

  • hahaha i was waiting for "blow me down" but it was a hell of a lot funnier without the down xD

  • yep he's got a pop eye i guess

  • Could somebody please tell me the name of the music that precedes Popeye's song. Thanks

  • Sailor's Hornpipe

  • Thanks so much.

  • popeye is great always random destruction its funny

  • the walk is the best

  • The voice of"Popeye"in this first movie

cartoon is Bill Costello. He lasted until 1935 when his success

went too far and he got fired.

  • Thanks for the insight.

  • @HansomeHans - Sorry for 3 years later comment: After Bill Costello's termination of his success went too far, Jack Mercer's the 2nd leading voice of Popeye. I bet you knew that. lol! XD

  • what is this?

  • Ohhhh Popeye!! He is my dream man. What more could a girl ask for..muscles, tattoos, and he always takes care of his Olive.

  • Isn't he a little old for you young lady?

  • @HansomeHans he may be 75 be from eating spinach hes eternally 34

  • classic just classic

  • He's pretty old, Popeye was created as a comic strip character in 1929 by Elsie Segar,

And the first Fleischer Popeye cartoon (this one) came out in 1933, So I would say Popeye is officially an icon IMHO.

  • cha5: He and Mickey Mouse both. :D

  • Sweet. I've been looking all over for this!

  • Well I'm glad you finaly found it. I must apologize though, I posted this in the hopes to bring more people to check out my channel. I admit, I kinda cheated.

  • It's cool. As long as you've learned your lesson.

Usually when people do that, they either use crappy videos or try to take credit for someone else's.

Obviously, you did neither. Kudos. ^_^
