I'm against the Protect IP Act as written. If it passes, then it will be more difficult for diabetics to import the natural pork & beef insulin that they need for survival and quality of life. Eli Lilly stated that rDNA synthetic human insulin wouldn't work for some diabetics and rDNA human insulin is the only insulin available in America. Why isn't natural pork & beef insulin protected by the "Orphan Drug Act"? Pork & Beef insulin should be available to American diabetics again.

Tierische Insuline haben die gleichen Nachteile wie Humaninsuline. Nicht jeder verträgt sie (egal welches) und unbemerkte Hypos gab es auch unter TI. Trotz einiger, die über HI "meckern" (vielleicht sogar zu recht) nutzen es Millionen Diabetiker und haben keinerlei Probleme damit. Jeder soll das Insulin nutzen und bekommen, was ihm hilft, seinen Diabetes korekt zu führen - nicht mehr und nicht weniger...

Pork and Beef insulin works much better than Humulin insulin. The FDA makes it impossible to acquire pork insulin from Europe. Eli Lilly executives need to develope diabetes and use their own products. They would import pork insulin from Europe if they used Humulin insuliln. I hate using Humulin insulin. I can't find a doctor who will sign the FDA documents. Eli Lilly is a greedy company.
