Having lost my son at the tender age of 3, i can honestly say unequivicably that i feel every bit of pain that eric does. This is an incredible song. Brings me to tears everytime. RIP Corey and Conner ;-(
I think eric is very talented. I think as a person, after i read his autobiography, i think hes a real asshole! Very arrogant, selfish person. Im sure it hurt that his son died, but he never intended on even having him. He was an accident from a mistake. He never deserved to die, his death is a tragedy! but eric didnt care about him till it was too late! I hate him for that! This song is amazing though. Im writing as im listening and i feel like i am the jerk now! Im sorry...
@Bigrusssthefuss I can see your point but to say he didn't care about his son I feel is a bit harsh. Even though he may have been considered a "mistake" I am sure Eric cared for him very much. I do agree that at one time Eric was in a bad place and in turn became a bad person but I am glad he has changed his ways. But as you say it is an amazing song.
Thank you and bless you, Mr. Clapton, not just for this song and for honoring a life (that meant so much to you) but for showing how meaningful musical expression can be. Rock'n'Roll wouldn't have been in existence if it weren't for slaves expressing themselves about their lives...and it wouldn't be nearly as meaningful if it weren't for people like you, Mr. Clapton, expressing, in so many ways and settings, the soul of it all. Music is about so much more than commerce. It's our lives.
thank you very much for this video does not appear in unplugged; this song is beautiful i sought for some time...<3 clapton RIP connor

Es la mejor versión de este tema que hizo Clapton. Es la más sentida.

Why isn't this released on the unplugged album...It's beautiful....
He plays it in "Into the fire" too. Those who want a high quality recording can find it in that album.

I've never heard this song either, and I love the almost Spanish feel to it.
Also, this is kind of random, but does anyone else's youtube video just not load all the way?

such a sad song.
he is my idol when it comes to guitar playing.. played for 20 years, and ever since i picked up my guitar at age 7, I wanted to
play like him (not that i can -- he's a lege!)
RIP Connor.. All my love Eric.
