Could you tell me what you are using for light, specifically? Are you getting good growth on your SPS? I think you have done an amazing job with aquascaping, nice to see this as it grows, do you have a YouTube channel?
wow your water is so crystal clear thhis makes me furious i just go tinto this hobby and about 2 months ago i got my 55liter tank setup with coldwater fish i got seven fishes really small and after a week the water goes cloudy brown and smells, i treat the water before i put the fishes in, i clean the filter regularly i change about 20% water twice a week i feed them once every two days and still get couldy water i tried taking all ornaments out and just run the tank and fishes no luck O;O
@badboycarlos the problem is ur doing too much ..in this hobby sometimes less is more ill explain..20% twice a week is too much never giving the tank time to settle running all decor under tap water kills the bacteria...not a good thing..whats happening is ur going threw endless cycles
@riderinblack57 yh i sort pf gave up this past month and done less water changes and i now clean the filter with the water from the tank and same with the ornagments, look at ur setup, large pump, filter and all sorts, of course urs is gonna stay clear lol
and you actually seperated the water with that acrylic and silicon , wow never knew it could hold the water so easily. u must of left a gap for the water to go behinde the acrylic? might copy your setup exactly the same and see if it stays clear as yours, my tank is 12'' width wats yours? wanna know how much space wil be left.
awesome i have a fresh water 8 gallon nano cube and i want to convert it to salt water what do you recommend i do i have a fresh water 30 liter aqua one tank with in hood fiter would that be ok
you need to go to a store and buy a book. You cant just go get stuff and throw it together like a freshwater tank. There is a lot to it and a lot you need to know and learn. Get a book or look online there are plenty of sites with great info
its OK now, to be honest its perfect i used RO water and when i went to the fish shop yesturday i decided to take some water to see how the water was doing and it came out to be perfect in every test
LOL and the waters only been running for about a week!
i've just started my first saltwater aquarium. i've added the water+salt and the sand but now my tank has become really misty cuz of the sand, is there anyway possible you can get it clear quickly?
@MrTomster93 yes several ways. How long has it been since you you added the water+salt? and what find of filtration and water circulation do you have going?
First of all you mix the salt and water first and allow it all to mix and the rest to settle. Hopefully it all mixes. You make sure its the right temperature and salinity. Then you add your sand. you cant just throw it all in there. Once your sand is in the water naturally its going to be cloudy, it should clear up in a day or two
Aw! So close!! This tank is AWESOME but chromis live in schools so you can have a minimum of 4. I think you should get rid of the chromi and put in a damsel or two.
hey that sheet of black is a divider from the tank to a built in sump filter kind of thing it has built in to it. it is pretty much black acrylic so you can find it at most hardware stores and get some aquarium safe silicone and put it in. if you need more information i can email you pics on how to do it. thanks
what kind of equipment are you using for your reef fish tank dude? what kind of feltration are you using to clean the water? how do you make it so clean?
the filter is build into the back of it, and i am using a protein skimmer and about 30 pounds of live rock. it is setup pretty much the exact same way a biocube or a nanocube is in the back.
it is a regular fish tank but it was custom made like the all in one tanks but has a built in auto top off as well and it is open top so you have way more choices for lighting then just power compacts

I like your aquarium.
I'm just starting to collect thing for my marine tank(live rocks and fish only).
I hav been watching video and finding info about this.
Just want ask u a question, do this kind of fish tanks need air pump or power heads?
Do you use any water conditioner, what r they?
And what important things I should get?

Whats A power Head.
2424Anthony 1 year ago
@2424Anthony
Its a pump that blows water for the imitation of current. Nothing really special. All it does is blow water across the tank to keep the water moving
