  • All those that call Graceland a mansion dreams to live in a split foyer.

  • ^ were not

  • @tenoder - get a life. Sadly you were killed in a bombing

  • There were many great ones of his time. The Beatles. Frankie Valli. Frank Sinatra. But Elvis was the GREATEST and ALWAYS WILL BE THE KING!

  • the best

  • So sad.

  • The KING #1 FOR EVER

  • What a beautiful version

  • a great record

  • I know if Elvis were here today he would dedicate American Trilogy to the victims and families of 9/11/2001. REMEMBER the 343 members of FDNY lost that day. REMEMBER the passengers of united flight 93 who gave their lives in a Pennsylvania field to prevent the plane being a missile and saving countless lives somewhere on the ground. And REMEMBER all those who died in the towers and on flights AA 11 and United 175, and those who died in the pentagon and AA 77. Please just REMEMBER!!!!

  • @TrishaDishaWarEagle

yes he would and still with his music he brings healing to his fans. An American trilogy is my most loved song of him. this day i will never forget still i am crying when i think at it ...although i dont live in the US i feel related to the US people... i ve relatives in the US which i had last seen and had contact at the age of 6 (32 years ago) my granddad found out that part of our family emigrated 200 years ago (Dutch) but sadly later we lost contact from germany

  • @TrishaDishaWarEagle Also please remember thousands of innocent Iraq people bombed and killed by U.S.

  • @tenoderaaridifolia You re an idiot, Jane Fonda!

  • @navistreng or anyone else..do you possibly know what concert date that footage of american trilogy is? I always thought the 73 aloha from hawaii version was the best version but this one might take the cake and i want the whole thing:) and OMG it's my fav..the blue cape suit

    Thanks in advance

  • real legends never die!!!

the King will remain till the last star falls from the heavens....till the end of all days.

  • to cry for a man i never met in my life. tells more of me or him? beautiful video

  • The premise of the comments are flawed because there is no ELVIS vs michael jackson compariosn..one is a pedo, and one was the KING OF ROCK AND ROLL..

    Glory Glory Hallelujah!!

  • @QuikSixxFixx81 This is your only argument? That he was pedo? You know good that it was bullshit, but probably you have nothing else to say...

  • Was the daily record really in color back in 1977?

  • @QuikSixxFixx81 I couldn't of said it any better myself. I 100% agree with you

  • @cuconato13

thanks! at least SOMEONE has ENOUGH SENSE!

  • no body is or will ever be better then the king Elvis Presley

  • @QuikSixxFixx81 Well if you had some real brains, they will be good friends if the lived in the same Generation, and btw MJ never molested little kids... do you got any proofs? MJ & ELVIS are just the best.

Stop comparing... YOu are the only fucking retared here.

  • @QuikSixxFixx81 oh you are so ignorant. If you left your hate fade away a bit, you would discover amazing things about Elvis and Michael.

  • IM here to dislike this shit,REST IN SHIT

  • Michael Jackson said that his life would be exactly like Elvis. It was true.

  • Great video of the King!!!

  • I was ten when Elvis died. But I can remember day like it was yesterday.R.I.P. ELVIS.By the way beautiful video.

  • This word just in.....Elvis Presley, Micheal Jackson and John Lennon are set to perform this evening in heaven for John F Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe...Now thats show business eh

  • Elvis Aaron Presley is the King of Rock n Roll. I love you Elvis.....

  • I was only 9 when he died but I remember when the news came in. I love his music and his style. I know how these people must have felt. I think the loss of Michael Jackson feels a lot like that must have. I love Elvis too!

  • @xnickjayy Money. It's all about the money :(

  • Thank you so much...he will always be the KING, no matter what.

    Love you Elvis xxx

  • I am 49 years old. I was 14 when Elvis died in 1977. I can still remember I was in our living room watching TV with my Grandmother and they broke in on TV with the news. I raced into the kitchen where my Mom was making dinner and I told her "MOM....Elvis died this afternoon. She looked at me and told me to stop kidding around. I said..."Go ask Grandma she saw it on TV" My Mom just sat in the chair and could not realize Elvis was dead. For something that was over 30 years ago, it seems so fresh

  • Guys

sriously lo of peoplhink elvis went to hell because he killed himselfand so did amy winehouse Maybe but micheal jackson john lennon freddy from queen went to heavean

  • @LiamCoolProductions I so hear ya..........and you know what all the sheep who think these folks or anyone who's a suicide goes to hell, well........I challenge them to come up with Biblical backing for that. I don't think there is any. This is just sheep regurgitating what they've been told with no thought process to it.

  • a tear for the king of kings

  • The first and biggest superstar in history.

I once asked some 8- 9 year old boys and girls at the school my kid attends to, if they knew about Elvis. Everybody said YES! They said of course they knew the King.

  • Elvis didn't die. He just went home.

  • The man sacrificed his soul to Muse, the god of music...

    Thank you,Elvis!

Your soul will live on within our hearts.

  • I was there and i never fell myself so sad as then. Even now when I see this clip I get tears in my eyes. Elvis was and is still the only true king of all kinds of music. Nobody come close to him even not Wacko Jacko.

Elvis my friend, I miss you so much

  • The greatest entertainer ever !

  • what concert is this version from??

  • Comment removed

  • @Elvis8484884

It's from the doco 'Elvis On Tour 1972' where he did 15 concerts in 15 nights straight. Available now on remastered DVD and Blue-Ray.

I have 5 clips of this concert including American Trilogy uploaded, chech it out.

  • @TheGriefmaker

i thought this particular version of American Trilogy was from This Is Elvis.

  • Elvis is the biggest what this world has seen

Elvis ist der größte, was diese Welt je gesehen hat

    Greetings from Germany

  • brividi.....

  • die welt trauert am 16.08.1977, und die trauer ist noch lange nicht am ende

  • why my lord?

  • WONDERFUL. Thanks to whoever posted this video. It captures for me the powerful phenomenon that was -and is- Elvis Presley. Both from the fans and news reports at his death, and then from the last bit of the video, where he hits those womderful notes. Show how he threw himself into it- it still chills me when does that- the effort. dedication the gave a song. What a force! I havent listened to him for years and I'm in awe all over again!

  • nie mehr hat die welt so sehr getrauert wie am 16.08.1977. es ging an diesen tag nicht nur der größte sänger aller zeiten, sondern auch ein mensch der wirklich von der welt geliebt wurde. elvis - the only king.

  • would you (pretty) please, create a new version, in which it starts as the song begins. I NEED that version, as it's the only version I can find in which several women are crying and it hints, perhaps they're having a premonition that he might soon die. I would highly appreciate it!!

  • august 16 1977 was truly the saddest day in the world thankyou lord for blessing the world with ELVIS !!!! his truth is still marching on!!!

  • ö my göd

  • He`s down ar chippy scoffin mars bars

  • No one can even come close!

  • One of the saddest days in history of music, the world lost a legend, he was is and always will be the greatest singer/entertainer of all time.

  • August 16th 1977 the real day Music Died

  • @BBQFanNo1 Amen, my friend. Elvis was the greatest singer and musician that ever lived. I'll be in Memphis on August 16th to honor the King.

  • I remember exactly where I was when I was told that Elvis had died. To this day, his is the death that shocked me the most. I guess I just didn't believe there could be a world without Elvis in it. There is, but it's not as wonderful.

  • @ratso444 where were you? what was it like? i can't imagine

  • @7861312 I was still asleep around 11am in LA when someone called out, "Wake up! Elvis Presley died!" I said, "Yeah yeah..." and fell right back to sleep. But when I finally woke up a few hours later, the first thing I said was, "Did you tell me Elvis Presley died?!?" I thought I had dreamed it. It was like a psychic sucker-punch, really. And it took about a week before the shock wore off and you understood he was... gone. Communications were slower then and few people knew what bad shape...

  • @7861312 he was in, so we were unprepared. He was bigger than Monroe or James Dean. Elvis was known everywhere at a time when it took years to become known. And he was flamboyant and bigger than life to most people. The President lived at the White House and rode on Air Force One, and Elvis Presley lived at Graceland and flew around on the Lisa Marie. He was in an elite league.

  • @7861312 Thanks for asking. RIP Elvis.

  • this man didn't deserve to die....taken too soon at such a young age! lifes very unfair! R.I.P ELVIS.

  • gas 53.9 cents

  • @ajgolfer1 cigarettes 50 cents

  • I remember that day it like it was yesterday. Elvis was the greatest of them all, nobody comes close.

  • I WAS ONLY EIGHT YEARS OLD WHEN HE LEFT US,I WAS NEVER A ELVIS FAN BACK THEN. BUT AS I GOT OLDER I BECAME ADDICTED TO HIS MUSIC,FILMS. I EVEN TRIED TO COPY HIS LIP CURLING,I SPENT HOURS IN FRONT OF THE MIRROR,SPENDING LOADS ON BRYLCREME TRY ING TO GET MY HAIR LIKE HIS. I THINK OF ELVIS AS BEING LIKE A BUG ONCE YOU CATCH IT YOU CAN NEVER GET RID.

  • THE DAY MUSIC DIED,ELVIS STARTED IT ALL AND WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR ROCK AND ROLL.

  • I was nearly 11 years old when he died, and I remember it vividly. My teacher at school was a huge fan, and the first thing he asked me when I got to school, was if I had heard the news. Remember feeling rather numb, and it was a tough day.

  • wow i never realized he was so young when he died

  • I can't understand all that comparisons between Elvis and MJ. Why? It's like compare apples and bananas. I like them both :))

  • First time I seen this coverage, I cried (again). What a sad sad thing that we should loose such a beautiful man at such a young age. One question please......... Why are there comparisons of someone like Micheal Jackson to our ELVIS PRESLEY.....How Absurd !!

  • The King Of Music

  • i have one of the papers from america issued very sad no one will ever match the king of rock & roll xxxx

  • ELV1S Still King, and the King Still L1VES.

Rest in Peace your Majesty.....Until we meet again. at 6: 50 Totally cute :)

  • 6 justine bieber fans

  • fukin fantastic song long live the king of rock n roll

  • Really man, A fad? Just as Elvis impacted an entire generation of young musicians and fans, so did Michael Jackson. I love Elvis being for Mississippi, he was our home grown son which never really forgot where he came from but Michael didn't just rerecord other artists music as Elvis and a lot of artists of the time did. His music was original and he change the game when it came to the Music video as well as the art form period!

  • @vrproctor1 no it wasnt he stole from little richard.and james brown..

  • @thatbboyrandom1 Thats Crap ..RESPECT THE KING ..ELVIS PRESLEY

  • EL SALVADOR MISS YOU WE LOVE YOU

  • Michael And Elvis both kings

  • If Elvis died in the 21st century like Michael, the world would have stop for a month and a recession would have taken place putting rich people in deep trouble.

  • i just cant believe hes dead, can a King die?

  • My uncle sat in a cafe in San Fransisco when the news came on the TV that Elvis had died. He said he could never forget the collective reactions from all sorts of people, young and old. Some people screamed out shortly and others just sat still in shock. Everone stirred at the TV. He saw sorrow in so many people it was strange. Much of the same reactions in Norway. Shock, sorrow and questions of why...

  • nice video where you can see Elvis's funeral I never saw this very important moment because I was too small for now I thank the author of that film

  • Unbelievable.. thank you.

  • Rest in peace Elvis. You were a great singer.

  • 6:16-6:17 (at the point the girl screams in the audience), there's Ann-Margret, Elvis' lovely co-star in "Viva Las Vegas" (holding what looks like a gold scarf) and her husband Roger Smith in the procession of mourners.

  • I always cry when I see the Memphis cops saluting his hearse as it passes because I think, "Yeah, that's right... he was a King because we loved him." You can't buy that kind of respect. People give it willingly or not at all. He was a very nice man.

  • one of the greatest video made available on you tube, thanks to all of you keep up the spirit.

  • Radio Luxembourg? haha =D Greatings from Luxembourg ^^ :)

  • i wont ever forget that day, watching ambulance go up to graceland, radio whbq broke in and said he was dead, our world around graceland turned into a circus overnight, thousands everywhere

rest in peace elvis, you deserve it. no one would ever leave you alone, you had to go out in disquise. stay awake while we slept and slept while we were waiting at your gate to see you. peace my friend

  • I live in Kentucky, I was 13 when it happened. My dad came home and I had to tell him, it was such a shock to him, he couldn't believe it. My wife and I's first dance, at our wedding was "Can't help falling in love".

  • Hail to the King!

  • ELVIS you're gone but you live forever in our hearts. Hope you have found rest in the peace of God with the ones you loved and were gone before you. I miss you. Love.

  • ELVIS IS DEAD???? WHEN?????????????????

  • @voiceofelijah2012 You are kidding now?

  • @voiceofelijah2012 your kidding right? you better be kidding...he has been dead since 77'. where the heck have you been?

  • At 5:22 Elvis is singing about himself. In his heart he is singing this to his daughter Lisa Marie. Elvis was getting tired and he wanted to be with his beloved mother and the Lord. He probably could feel that the end was near.

  • I like how all the cars were white . We miss you Elvis .

  • That woman at 3:55 expressed what we, Elvis fans, feel: please, don't leave us

  • @qqsomething Amen!!

  • THIS WAS ONE OF THE SADDEST DAYS OF MY LIFE

  • @karakittle It's simple, it means he was abducted by Martians.

    LOL.

  • thanks for recommending to me

  • Women passing out CRAZY

  • Thanks for Upload

  • Will always remember and love him.

  • I wasn't alive when Elvis was, but I was raised on Elvis' movies/songs. I cry every time I hear his songs, as if he has just now passed away.

  • @dare2r : American Trilogy it.s the name of Song :)

  • ya.ya.ya!!!!!!! well credible ,still i passed a month with the (old) men in acapulco mex in 1991

  • always the KING

  • I saw Elvis in person in 3 shows during the 70s,as you can see I'm a loyal fan and till the end of my life. It was a must for me to be there at Graceland for his funerals. One of the sadess day of my life. I'm 62 and I had these great chances to be near him. The charisma he had,his generousity and the his great talent will never be replaced. There never be an Elvis Presley again.

  • In 1977 I was 10 years old and Elvis had been a star from before I was born. JFK, MLK, and RFK were too early in my life to affect me. So when I heard the news that Elvis was gone, I just could not really believe it, Now I'm 52 and he died at 42. How is that possible? His 42 years meant more to more people than mine can ever mean, so I suppose he just didn't need the time here and Jesus called him Home early.

  • Still brings tears to my eyes.........we have missed so much with him gone. There was so much more he would have given to us. Such perfection...............

  • Rest in Peace Elvis. You live in our hearts forever. Thank you for the music and memories.

  • If he really knew Christ--and I hope he did--then he'll rise again some day in what the Bible calls the first resurrection. So if he is in heaven until then--and I hope he is--he is singing better than ever now. Not songs like "Hound Dog" or "Lonely Street", but rather the great hymns, like "How Great Thou Art".

  • Wonderful video!!! All Elvis fans thanks you, especially me. Elvis you live in my heart

  • I sure do miss Elvis, that's for sure.

  • Hello everyone, I was at the funerals aug 18,1977 part of the thousands of fans watching the hearse and all the white limousines. I even touched the hearse when it passed in front of me,then I was pushed away by a policeman,my friend and I have some pictures. I'm at 4:24 the guy with beige pans with my hand shadind the sun off my eyes.Let me tell you that it was so sad that day..you could feel it to... I never wanted to go back to Graceland. Rest in peace Elvis.

  • @VegasYears How lovely you were there to give him a kings send-off. I wish I had been there to pay my respects too!

  • Elvis will alway's be the King of Rock & Roll and nobody will ever take is crown!

  • I was 5 years old and had no clue. I was more into Star Wars and SuperFriends. Besides...My grandfather died months before Elvis in 1977. My grandfather was more important. I didn't discover Elvis until I was in high school.

  • I lived in Russia (Soviet) in -77 and I remember the news of this tragedy. He was the superstar of the universe and loved all over. Elvis could have ended the cold war himself.

  • SUCH A SAD SAD DAY FOR ALL OF THE PEOPLE WHO STILL LOVES HIM...

  • I was fishing and holidaying in Bobcaygeon Ontario

I was sitting at the Kitchen table with a transistor Radio

    August 1977

  • Elvis died 15 years before I was born. Ive grown up listening to him; & hes about all I ever listen to. Haha. He died before I was born but I feel like I knew him because of all the books Ive read about him, all of the concert movies of him & interviews that Ive seen. Honestly; seeing anything to do with his death & funeral makes my eyes tear up. Haha, Really.

  • @Shelby62292 trust i feel the same aswell and im just 17 that shows he still has an impact on peoples lives today

  • have never seen this clip, even though elvis has been death for such a long, long time.

feel very sad when watching your clip on the upsetting news of august 16th 77.

thanks for uploading it for us the fans.

    charlotte

  • Weird that nobody caught any pictures of them moving him to Graceland?

  • ive the utmost respect for this specail man rip elvis

  • fantastique elvis

  • the most incredible human of the twentieth century - no doubt - my twelve year old son and six year old daughter know of Elvis and his tribute to society, entertainment and our culture as we know it today - I noticed a lady approaching the hearse during this video and it made me think, "how can one man affect people such as he did?" - it is astounding . . . and so was he

  • @dewaynecullen You are so right, I just commented that he will ne ver die because his memory is kept alive with all thew new young fans . He will live forever. x

  • @dewaynecullen Mine to my daughter is 8 and we visited Graceland last summer. She loves Elvis and we listen to Sirius radio Elvis they are the next generation of fans long live Elvis.
