  • Such a beautiful woman... shine on you ...crazy diamond !!!

  • nice shes pretty sure would look great with long hair!

  • Sinead O'Connor does this justice.... as she would..... she is all class in her own right... as a singer song writer .....thank you !

    perfect

  • i dont know who said she cant sing she got her point across?

  • Shame she can't sing!!! (Without a full studio and vocoder to back her up)

  • Perfect song!

  • for those who dont know. The guy playing the accordion is Garth Hudson. The two men playing singing with Waters is Rick Danko and Levon Helm(redsox hat). Those three guys are members of The Band. If you dont know who The Band is, then you need to get out in the world and start living

  • @tiemyshoes92 I just heard Roger (radio interview( talking about Levon and the album "Music From Big Pink". I was turned off for a while after the radio beat that one song of theirs to death (up on cripple creek). But your right...should listen to their other stuff which is much better anyway.

  • Roger, en marzo nos vemos aquí en Argentina.-

    Gracias !

  • great song but puzzling to do it as an Irish reel

  • That was Roger with...Kris Kristopherson? And the other guy?

  • @qigong1001 With Karl Marx

  • @agkrotik Ha ha! Damn pinkos!

  • Comment removed

  • Love this song, and she sings it so well... takes my breath away!

  • Sinead is a fucking weirdo, but DAMN did she sing this well.

  • I never really liked this song until I heard Sinéad sing it but I know now I won't ever listen to it again. Some stars are hard to understand.

  • love it thank you

  • omg, is this real???

  • Highly attractive by sounding and words

  • So to sum up all the comments.....roger waters is an obnoxious gobshite, sinead looks like she's having an orgasm, she has no ballsack and she sang great and rick danko and levon helm stole the show.

  • Great version.

  • I love her so much.. and I love Floyd.. may both live in our hearts, and in the musical history until the Human existence ends. <3

  • Skinhead O'Connor

  • sinead is so charming ..

  • the Best

  • She nailed it. Brilliant

  • The original version is usually the best, but this live version of Mother performed by Sinnead O'Connor at Berlin 20 years ago is really outstanding. For me the best version of this song ever.

  • She gives me the chill, the best

  • as a fellow moon in scorpio - i can really relate to this song.. !

  • Si el dolor tuviese sonido, sería ÉSTE.

  • 900% Awesome! S O'C has such an Angelic Voice! 👼

As the Sex Pistols once said...(slightly edited)...

    Never Mind the Boll#%^*...

Here's the Mother Vocals.... w/ Soul!

    ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

  • Didn't expect to see Levon Helm and Garth Hudson in this . As far as Sinead, she's better off by herself.

  • Does anyone here think that she looks like Natalie Portman with her hair shaved off in V for Vendetta?.... It looks beautiful!

  • @SuperYummyNummy yup i thought about that too

  • Regardless of anything and everything odd about Sinead O'Connor, her performance on this song gives me goosebumps. I can listen to this over and over. Hmm... I do listen to it over and over.

  • @petehanlon why does everyone think her odd, just because she is awake and aware of what goes on in this cess pit of a world ? Its a heavy burden to carry let me tell u...

esp with people calling you mad, when infact they are the mad ones for accepting the insanity of all that goes on in plain sight...

  • @SovereignBeing , I could not agree more, especially regarding the thoughtless followers of religion and politics. Once a person truly opens their eyes and understands, they can never go backwards. This fear must be what is keeping most people's vision so cloudy.

  • I would kick 138 people in the nuts if they were in front of me "disliking" this video.

  • She has no balls... she was pretty unprofessional, didn't stay after the show and accused roger waters of strange stuff later on cause of technical problems... what else to expect of a egocentric feminist baldhead that marries three guys a week.

  • @CometBroadcast i mean, even if all of that were true, does that really matter? Really?

  • @shittyfagg search for behind the wall 1990

  • @shittyfagg and yeah sure it does... music is identity.

  • I was there. They had a private rehearsal the night before and I managed to get in as we had been camping in Potsdamer Platz for a couple of weeks protesting to keep the old no mans land as a park to honour those that died and so it was never forgotten. Anyway only about 300 people there and they did the full concert. The next day was insane and the fences came down hours before. It was just crazy.

  • @DubiousDude Sinead O' Connor is unique in every way-be it her voice, appearance or attitude. You are reduced to posting mundane and pathetic comments on the internet. Get a life.

  • Have the album, and this song always causes a tear to fall. She is incredible, the guitar is phenomenal, the lyrics are moving, and when you mix it all together, well, you have no heart if you are not moved!

  • This song, makes me drop a tear.

  • Shouldn't she be the 'mother'?

  • Shes fuckin good btw!!!

  • Robert Duvall looks like Grizzly Adams with a Red Sox cap

  • Is that Garth Hudson on accordion?

  • @39StreetProductions Oh yes, it is. And the other singers are Levon Helm and Ricky Danko. This means you have 3/5 of The Band there.

  • La reprise de cette chanson par Sinead O'Connor est vraiment réussi....

  • "mother do you think they drop the bomb" goose bumps every time

  • @slayer666man666 , Me too, but my favorite is the ending "Mother did it need to be so high ?" Its unreal how much I can relate to this

  • Sinead O'Connor mas o Pink floyd ficou muito massa!!!

  • ótima ........ pena qua acaba rápido o que a gente gosta ...

  • awwwwwwwwwww . . . thanks for sharing!!!!! -*^_^*- ♫♪♫♪

  • sinead is gorgeous omg

  • a voice like no other

  • she looks like Pamde (Natalie Portman) in star wars :D

  • @pjotorfly padme*

  • Complete with Levon Helm, Rick Danko and Garth Hudson. Wonderful.

  • She is just so fkn awesome in this, Sinead so pretty and one hellova voice :)

  • That's my girl, right there

  • I can't believe this dumb Irish Ho got to sing with a genius like Roger Waters... I guess every dog has its day hey.

  • @DubiousDude1 how is she an "Irish ho" because she has more balls than you ill bet:)

  • @DubiousDude1 I guess you weren't even there when the Wall came down? were you even born? Sinead is a very rare star.. she mesmerized us all in the 80's. I'm so happy I found this video.. it's not just a song it's piece of social history and I am sick of people like you judging things and people from their very restricted ignorance filled little pedestals

  • @DubiousDude1 I am glad Sinéad sang this song, she sings and interprets it so well - it's great to watch her sing it.

There's no need to be such a racist, I'm guessing you're English - describing an Irish person as a "dog" will bring back memories to a lot of Irish workers who worked in England in the '60's, '70's and '80's "No Dogs (Irish) Need Apply". Yeah, you're English alright.

  • @DubiousDude1 It's an all star show - that was the point. (Roger only did some of the deep side 2 stuff). Who did you want singing mother? Brittany Spears? - who can't sing. Sinead was the highlight performance of the show and did a great job with mother.

  • @DubiousDude1 judging by your grammer, some english ho dropped you right out

  • Super!

  • She nailed the song and her facial expressions are just priceless! Awesome, awesome song.

  • @floyderhead absolutely, totally 100 % agree

  • voor jou mams van angelique

  • Red Sox xD

  • The Band !!! Cool !

  • Roger Waters and friends would have to step in and ruin a brilliant performace from Sinead :D jokin, brilliant all round, love the Floyd, love Sinead O'Connor

  • Stunning !

  • Who are the 2 guys? The one with the Red Sox cap and the other guy

  • @Vidaluko Rick Danko and Levon Helm

  • meu deus, que fantástico.

  • She is lovely. I love this song so much! This live performance of it is perfectly imperfect.

  • es perfecto

  • Why is this only showing my views?

  • Beautiful.

  • She´s great!

  • Hard show to put on wth all stars singing. Roger Waters did a great job and lets not forget this was at the actual Berlin Wall during the fall of communism. . Some misses (van Morrison, Joni Mitchell) were pretty awful but Sinead knocked this out of the park! Geat Job!!!

  • the guy with the hat is a mean motherfucker

  • Love it. Head phones on, splif in mouth, life is good.

  • @bram1973

You bastard, have headphones on too, but no spliff, life is still good though :)

  • check out the badass on the accordion

  • GARTH HUDSON from THE BAND makes this video!

  • PINK FLOYD must be proud of her !! she did well ;)

  • @theDopeShow1000 Yes - Sinead was GREAT here. Not all the others were but she was fabulous I though. Dare I say, and I am a "WALL" purist but it's Album worthy.

  • Comment removed

  • She shouldn't have done this song...she has no balls to break..... ya i said lol

  • @juegas i am glad She did this song,

    Mate,

    Sinead O'Connor has more balls

then the every-day male populace of this known planet... could dream of..

  • @quantumalak in later pics she even looks like one!

  • @quantumalak

    ya got a point

  • ufff!! de mis favoritas!! sinead 0´ connor

  • sineads facial expressions as she sings are so hauntingly erotic....beautiful cover of a classic floyd song

  • @leilarbabes69 Agree! Have seen this show a hundred times and a huge Floyd "purist". but all-star shows are hard and Roger did an amazing job. Sinead was the best at this show. I would go her #1, Paul Carrack (on hey you was great) #2 Bryan Adams #3 Ute Lemper #4 Joni Mitchell murdered goodbye blue sky. Awful. , Van Morrison were pretty bad too.

  • Nooooooo, this is horrible, totally murdered my favourite floyd song, sinead o'connors horrible squeaky irish voice is just not right for it, roger must have been wasted when he thought it was a good idea to let her sing this

only good bit was the guitar solo mid way through, must have been snowy doing it justice

  • @timshill how somebody can say this ? so now go and hit yourself in a head with the biggest WALL you have in your house

  • @FIYHICMS1 i did when i heard this, many times, to divert my brain from the pain in my ears of her murdering it

  • muito foda!!!

  • so hauntingly erotic the way sinead sings....

  • o melhor concerto de sempre! roger waters é um genio!! pink floyd 4ever

  • Skinhead o' Connor :-)

  • It's a great song. . The band is a special touch to this master piece of a song. Sinead not bad either. I am a huge Gilmour worship ashor. I just love PINK FLOYD!!! My son is 11 years old & it takes me back when he wachted the Wall for the first time. He Freaking loved it!! Hell Yahhh!!!

  • Musical taste is clearly subjective, but some of the comments are laughable! Sinead O Conner's contribution makes a rendition surpass a classic. Some idiot earlier said he wished Roger was singing, look at Roger smile when she ' drops the bomb' on her lyrics!

  • I love the way she smile 1:12

  • rick,garth and levon

  • @3:05 Rick Danko and Levon Helms singing together with Roger Waters. Thats d moment. epic.

  • dei fottuti geni cazzo

  • Madhështore!

  • They got the vocalists bass ackwards on this version.

  • The guy with the accordion is Garth Hudson, also from The Band

  • That guy is one of the members of "The Band". His name is Levon Helms.

  • Who's the dude in the trucker hat singing in the middle? With that gray ass beard?

  • I am not a big fan of Sinead, but she did OK. The background vocals were strong and the accordian player made this song even better than the original - at least musically. I would have rather had Roger singing this, but really Sinead held up her part on this.

  • Roger Waters was so attractive in 1991.

  • Love syd

  • sinead was fuckin horrible. How could roger picked this cunt?

  • @marsbars4 Either you're the world's most awful troll or you have terrible taste.

  • @Onsube no faggety, I have great taste. That is why sinead sucks balls and ruined this great song. Roger admitted later that he should have not used her for this song. Get your facts straight.

  • Comment removed

  • @marsbars4 The only problem I have with the performance is the fact that the female singer is playing the male character and the male singers are performing the female character. Sinead O'Connor would probably have been a better choice for the chorus, but I certainly don't think she "sucks balls".

  • @Onsube for disliking Sinead. No troll I have great taste. For Sinead butchering a classic beautiful song it was like nails scratching on a blackboard.

  • 1990

  • Great performance, great voice, great music! Does anyone know what year is it from?

  • @golanme1 The Wall Live from 1991 :-)

  • Super!!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • Better than the original. Fantastic performance

  • Willie Nelson Makes a great mother.

  • Roger Waters looks so hot in this!

  • Oh My God!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS SONG !!!!!!!!! Gigi

  • ROGER IS SWIMMING IN THE GREATNESS SURROUNDING HIM,JUST ORGASMIC!!!

  • man shes always been a great singer.

  • einfach genial...

  • Превосходно! Мурашки по коже! Спасибо!

  • che donna e che voce .....goooooooooooooooooooooood

  • Ihear they mimed some of this? o.O

  • @rgoodson979 The producers mentioned that, unlike the sound-check done earlier during the afternoon, this performance had an audio fallout glitch that left all of the stage monitors dead. The problem was sorted out after this song was through. The transition you hear from the previous song was edited in for the DVD release. They discussed stopping the show, but performed this song without any onstage audio. All they could hear was the acoustic instruments. Now that's entertainment...

  • Credit where it's due. Sinead O'Connor gave this performance everything she had. She didn't just sing the words she put all her emotion into it as if it were hers. A brilliant performance.

  • 3.33 Rocco Siffredi is playing guitar.

  • ooo mama

  • Only a big talent can sing and performe this song so good!!

  • Jon stewart at 3:06

  • @cooleseafront

    correction. Jon Stewart at! 3:36

  • @cooleseafront How ever far up her own bum she might have been, the girl could sing, and the collaberation (sp?) was really good

  • fyi waters famously hated her performance

"It was very, very hard work organising that Wall concert but everyone was fabulous to work with - Bryan Adams, Van Morrison, Cyndi Lauper, bloody brilliant. All brilliant. Except for Sinead O'Connor. Oh, God! I have never ever met anybody who is so self-involved and unprofessional and big-headed and unpleasant. She is so far up her own bum it's scary. "

lot more... Q magazine Nov 1992

  • @motavation69 That's funny, I recall Roger Waters former band mates used similar words to describe him (i.e. big headed, self-involved and unpleasant) - he must have borrowed that line from them, perhaps, he should have borrowed a mirror from them back then and met himself.

Thank God, Roger is at least back on talking terms with David and Nick again. It's sad there was ever a split in Pink Floyd in the first place - they were one of the greatest bands in the world ~Rock on Pink Floyd!~

  • @musicartism Sounds like old Roger has some projection issues. Also, Roger himself said that during rehearsals Sinead told him to give the show broader appeal by doing one of the songs in a modern "street" or rap style. He replied along the lines of, "Go sit in the corner and shave your fucking head and shut up!". And Roger is dismissive of when the other guys in Floyd speak of his ego fracturing the band!! Well, he wrote some good lyrics until he decided he should be poet laureate.

  • @zorak1997 There's no doubt Roger Waters wrote some good lyrics - but he's not the best writer in the world. Anyway, no one is perfect and he certainly is not. Much as I admire him as a rock star and for his humanitarian work which must soothe his conscious some what, he is one person I would never like to meet, he comes across so overbearing, unpleasant and unkind in most interviews and when he tries to act all nice & concerned you realise sadly that he's only joking and faking it.:(

  • @musicartism Years ago in an interview Water said he was one of the top five Brit lyricists (all lyricists, not just rock) since WWII. When asked who the others were he "blanked". Eventually he said John Lennon, but no one else he could consider to be in his company. Roger had some good lyrics, but stuff like Amused To Death got too allegorical and esoteric and you know he thinks he should have won the Nobel Prize for it. I prefer Leonard Cohen as a lyricist and as a person.

  • @zorak1997 Well, I am not going to knock his music, because I have always been a Pink Floyd fan and have actually bought his solo records as well and will continue to enjoy most of his music (though not all of it), and I do admire the humanitarian side to him (which I believe to be genuine and not solely for show), but I just can't stand him, he's so overbearing and obnoxious and comes across as a complete gobshite, which he probably is, but, afterall, I suppose it doesn't matter at all.

  • @zorak1997 Since when did Cohen become a brit?

  • @Kapselho Cohen never was and never said he was. I was pointing out an example of Roger's famous ego and saying in comparison that I prefer the lyrics and personality of Leonard Coehn.

  • @zorak1997 Since when did Cohen become a brit?

Roger rules!

  • @natasyosoy Que?

  • @zorak1997 Roger was the heart nd sould of Floyd buddy. Wrote 90% of the lyrics and there would be no "wall" or "dark side" without him. Floyd was a light show stadium band when he left. The other members happily cash theor residual checks to this day while bashing Waters being a "pain in the ass". well too bad....He WAS Pink Floyd.

  • @aitraining Hey pal, I don't disagree that Waters was essentially Pink Floyd from Dark Side through The Final Cut. And, guy, don't get me started on how Gilmour, Mason and Wright totally cashed in on the stadium tours that sold out based on the international reputation of Floyd that Roger created. Those three have no credibility with me, buddy. However, amigo, I still say that while Roger is a great lyricist that he's a megalomaniac and he's waiting to be crowned poet laureate.

  • How could you not like Sinead whatever she sings?

  • musicartism; get a life mate!

  • @roycroy33 Typical English hatred of the Irish language.
