I love discard. It's my favorite tactic in magic. Raven's Crime is a great card. Under estimated by many players. You should try to look up some rarer discard cards like Funeral Charm. It's versatile and instant speed. And maybe some sweepers to clear the playing field like damnation (expensive I know) or infest (pretty cheap). The Rack is a discard deck's best friend. Maybe Skullcage for more rack effects.

what is the deck list for both decks, and whats with all the cheep discard cards. when ur pumping out 1 mana discards it doesn't help the card advantage witch is how discarding gives u upper hand. but any how i could just be commenting on a bad hand and draw

I think mogg fanatic is better, it's more versatile. maniac is just an attacker. I'd rather have multiple options, than just one.

That discard deck stripped his hand pretty well, needs some more punch though, maybe more removal (like infest)?
