@gokory the snow would MELT within a few hours of the temperature reaching 30 above zero and you wouldnt be wearing heavy clothing. and it wasnt 30 below because you would be wearing heavier clothers and the ice would have been atleas 4 inched thicker than it was. and your cows would be close to death
@gokory are you serious the cows would have been close to death?? we recieve up to 2 weeks at a time at well below 30 degrees below zero, joys living in montana and to the snow melting, it was 36 degrees above yesterday and snowing and yes the snow was staying on the ground, the snow wont melt because of the ground temp, and as a side note on the heavier clothes if you cant go out in at least 20 below with nothing more than overalls and a sweatshirt then ranching or outside work is not for you
i noticed that your truck has the same motor that it had when you got it. thats got to be a recored. motors stay running when you dont beat on them and you take care off them dont they wayne. what do you got in there a 302
Works now. Lots of work doing it that way, but I'm thinking that you can control the amount of hay they are getting feeding small bales over rounds. Less wast as well but more work.
it wasnt 30 degrees in that snow buddy..and it wasnt 30 below either....

@gokory oh?? and I would be curious as to why it is that you think that

you should use a chain saw to cut the ice
coxboyentertainment 2 years ago
That also ruins a chainsaws blade.

Works now. Lots of work doing it that way, but I'm thinking that you can control the amount of hay they are getting feeding small bales over rounds. Less wast as well but more work.
ShawnCFarm 2 years ago
yeah feeding small squares gives you alot more control over feeding amounts and has much less waste
wagner59270 2 years ago
To bad them round bale choppers cost so much. Would be alot less work.
ShawnCFarm 2 years ago
yeah and weve tried having a chopper come in but by the time you pay someone to do it its just not cost effective
wagner59270 2 years ago
Damn that is a lot of hay!
