You believing in them or not does not change the fact that there exist nations and borders. Do you know how many cultures (mainly the ones you normally so admire - native Americans, Brazilian natives, African tribes...) have been destroyed by internationalism, globalisation and the abolishon of borders between certain countries (merging of two or more countries). Do you know distinct culture between nations is dying in EU?

So, if you are a part of a nation or country and proclaim that for example you are "Zambian" you honestly think that makes someone a nationalist?? That is perverted and indeed racist for denying other people their own identity and country. In essence you can be called a home wrecker. Nations and countries do cooperate and trade with each other you know without destroying them first to do so. Have been for thousands of years.

Cultures do not have the benefit of the nation state, and yet they exist. Roma culture is a fine example of this. Also what are called subcultures by most, some of which bearing few similarities to their parent culture.

Perhaps you are conflating identity with political recognition. I also posit, with some cheek, that white men have no culture worth preserving. B-)

Yes welcome - you have heard of the United States Immigration Department where you become permanent resident of the US and citizen., right? Apart from the normal procedure they even have a huge lottery of picking randomly people from all over the world who apply and give them citizenship of the USA. There is a difference of being invited or breaking an entering - it applies to your house and it applies to a country.

Being welcome in a country isn't the same as being legally allowed to be there, how about socially? A lot of people are almost instinctively unkind or abrasive to foreign people, or much more likely to help out someone born there. And a lottery? That's absolutely ridiculous, rather than going through applicants to find the people who would make a decent contribution to a community like a doctor, they randomly select people looking for free rides and duke it to them. Great system.

They have the lottery system IN ADDITION to the system where they select the people who are going to make a contribution. It is to give less fortunate a legal chance of becoming citizens even if they do not qualify for the regular types of immigration.
