so u can make that thing go forever with a little water why not put a little magnet and copper on it and see how much electricity u can get out of those big ones. probably enough electricity to charge a cell phone or run some led lights 24/7. with a few rooms full of them or an attic or basement maybe u can power the whole house. let us know if u do
it's not impossible because its not actually perpetual motion.. there is thermodynamic energy changes from the water it dips it's beak into... but it is very close to a perpetual motion device.
it can be perpetual.. the problem with perpetual motion is to create a closed cicle of energy conservation wich violetes the 2nd law of thermodynamics..
this bird is a thermal machine.. it's fuel (the energy used to make it work) comes from the enviroment..
is just like a car engine.. y can go perpetual but you'll need an infinite amount of oil...
the bird consumes so little that there is enougth fuel in the enviroment to make it work practically forever!

These are not perpetual motion machines, they are heat engines!

Would it be possible to generate electricity with this?

yea it is possible

drinking birds arent powered perpetual motion, they use heat to move.

+ water evaporating

what fuel from the enviornment does it use fakui? heat?

Yes heat, It is a heat transfer engine.

Cool. Seeing it oversized makes the principle more understandable.
