I wonder if I landed in the middle of nowhere where they speak some Indian language, how hard would it be for us to understand each other? Provided that Russian is one of the best preserved I-E languages out there..
@VictorSobakus bro, its nepal so they would speak nepali language not sum freakin indian language..get sum bains..ur watchin a nepali video concernin nepal and nepalese people, dun b so ignorant..
@sushant888 lol bro, firstly, open the map, Nepal borders India. secondly, there's no "sum freakin indian language", there's Hindi and other indian languages that belong to the same language branch, such as Nepalese. don't be so american man..
@VictorSobakus haha bro thoo i was very small wen i left nepal fo us, i'm still nepali & my root of origination is nepal..n i hav deep luv fo nepal deep down my heart..so i was kinda freaked out wen u said land in sum indian speaking zone..i kno the map, man and also kno nepal borders wid india and china..n i neva said indian language u said in ur comment, i kno its hindi..lol..peace out..
@sushant888 But Nepali is an Indian language and all of Hindustan is Indian speaking zone, so I still don't see what did I get wrong. You don't speak Chinese or Tai there now do you?
@VictorSobakus who said nepali is an indian language?? its like sayin russian and german language is the same, or sayin english and spanish language is same(thoo they use some same words and spellings)man y yall whites r so ignorant..if u dun kno abt other language or tribe, its better to keep ur mouth shut, or end up being or soundin stupid like u r now..we have our own language nepali..yes i dun speak chinese cuz im not chinese..i speak nepali cuz im nepali..does dat make sense now??
@sushant888 lol man the common sense says that if a language is spoken in India(the subcontinent), it is indian. And there's no sense in your comparison with russian and german whatsoever, what fucking same? Russian is the name of the language, not it's quality. Are you retarded or what? An Indian language is a language spoken in India, Nepal is in India and Nepali is therefore indian.
@VictorSobakus haha ur really a funny person as well as ignorant..really cracked me up wen u said nepal is in india..haha..man i guess u neva passed ur geography tests back in skool..go look up the map n u will fine out wer nepal is..ur retarded as hell u crack head..its like sayin canada is in usa....hahahahha...we nepalis kick indians ass..come to nepal n bitch talk like here mr youtube warrior n u'l get ur answer plain n square..yup nepalis r calm, n welcoming but dun try their patience..
@VictorSobakus man we nepalese love all the tourists coming to nepal from all round the world.we r warm, welcoming and hospitable people towards tourists or international guests..but dun take us fo granted.n dun associate us wid indians.we neva had and never will have nything to do wid indians.we r a independent country, and hav our own language, currency, castes, races, ethnicity, culture, and stuffs.u ended up being stupid wen u said nepal is in india.come here n say dat stuff if u got the balls
@sushant888 omfg man, I dunno about you there, but here that subcontinent of yours where you all hang out is called India, just as Europe is called Europe and Scandinavia - Scandinavia. And yeah, Canada is in America and America is in America, surprise! And rotflol saying that bordering countries with very close languages don't have and have never had anything to do with each other is plain retarded. Btw I also love how people who fled their country for money start being patriotic on theInternet
@VictorSobakus watt the fuck has it got to do wid europe and scandinavia..man i was born in nepal, and been here till i was 18..i kno wat my country men are called and wat language i speak..a whie trash dun need to explain me that..n yes nepalis can be called asians but not indians..can u call all the europeans, australians and americans-britts cuz dats wer they'd come from??hell no..simple as dat..n yeah i juss came to us fo degree n i already got it, not fo money..get ur facts straight..
@VictorSobakus n yup u might call pakistan or bangladesh is in india.coz those countries were once part of india, and they splitted wen the war broke up,and people demanded separate countries.but unlike those countries nepal's always been an independent country,n has been maintaining its sovereignty till date.unlike most of the western and asian countries nepal had never been conquered by ny other country in its history..not even by the britts..
@sushant888 Oh all right, suppose Nepal isn't in India but in Tibet or whatever, but the language is still Indo-Aryan and the people(at least most of them) are too.
@VictorSobakus haha still wrong, u white trash..nepal is a separate sovereign country, so nepal is an independent country..u can't clain it to b a part of any other country..again plain and simple ans, we speak the language called nepali..dats abt it..there's no language called indo aryan..ur juss takin about the root of the language not the language itself..b logical, dun juss make up ur random stuffs to look smart..ur not..n u kno nothin abt nepal and nepali ple..so betta u knock it off..
@sushant888 you dumb fuxter tibet isn't a country, i don't care if nepal is independent, indo-aryan isn't a language but a group of languages, i don't make up shit, you're retarded. end of story.
@VictorSobakus haha u retarded moreon..i guess u've been havin drugs lately to tak so stupid..a white ignorant dude teaching & preachin me abt my own langauage & people....hahahaha..ur funny..i hav full knowledge & info abt my country, people and the language we speak here PERIOD.............
@VictorSobakus haha looser?who ur step dad?? dude i can speak 4 languages, nepali, english, hindi and spanish, n dat too without ny accent..now can u dig dat?? how many language can u speak??i kno juss english right..haha so dat means its pointless arguin wid u over language matters..ur juss jealous..white trash..
@VictorSobakus haha...man dun act like a kiddo..if u had sum idea abt nepali language it'd b fun arguin..n u wood not b arguin wid me now if u knew abt our language and its origin..so ur claim seems pointless, dat u won..haha...poor white trash..feel pity fo ur crackhead soul..

I completely agree! I have flown twice up till now, and once on my own and I know what freedom of spirit gives such an experience! Bravo! Great video!
I strongly believe that those who push the limits & boundaries have a larger world than others. They are really the true pioneer. I cannot imagine to fly in such a condition yet they did it. Mother nature has infinity power & energy that we do not know how to utilize it. Awesome, great video.

Ah yes capitalism, great idea, seeing as to how it's done so much for all of these developing countries so far. Maybe they can build a strip mall and sell Nepalese paragliding t-shirts and mouse pads that would do wonders for them.
Why the hell not. We are moving (very slowly)towards the idea of globalization (just waiting for the British and American to forget about imperialism and crusading), where you have to help every single one the global community to progress and not use the mountains of Nepal as a place to remind us of the 10th century.
Very nice video. Keep up the good. Any one wants to try finding old beny (bin laden) on a paraglider. they have very nice mountains in the west, haven't seen the rest.

Officially my favorite paragliding video. Thanks for an amazing show. I am still shivering from the altitude...you forgot to tell us how high we were going to fly. Next time I shall wear my coat,(As I watch the video in my living room again and again).
that was amazing, when you took off you actually went up initially like a rocket by the view of the camera. i wonder if the people at the place you landed ever seen anything like that before.
Im saving up as well (only 15 and at $6.91 an hour at king soopers it will take a while) just sticking to kite jumping right now. Personaly the vario's are very annoying i would rather just turn off the sound, it kinda ruins the peace and quiet. I thought it beeped high if you r going up and low if you r going down?
That's the variometer, the height measuring device...it's beeping if you're getting higher because of these already mentioned thermal winds and the up winds close to hillsides
Seems to pretty annoying after a while but actually the pilot's pretty pleased to hear that sound!
i visited nepal two years ago and have a nepali stepmother. the video was mind blowing, and the reactions of the people were just how i would have expected them...this is an adventure most of us will never come close to
your damm right i wont get close to it, there is no way im jumping out with a plasitc bag on my back, i likes my feet on the ground.. i must admit it looks wicked but i aint doin it... no way.... not never..
And you'll regret that you missed out on a once in a lifetime experience like this. Personally I'm saving up for all the equipment necessary. Flying without engines, bulks of metal and various other huge mechanical contraptions has been by lifelong dream.
man..thas ma country.. NEPAL..woah.. thas awesome video.. and thas in 1999.. nobody ever done thing like that.. those people from the villege where you took off... they probably still wondering where you end up or what happened to you guys.. and the people from the other village must be wondering where you came from.. haha.. very interesting video.. good work..
This is amazing. You showed us how a traveller really should travel. Truly amazing. And the camerawork is great too. Damn, i whis i could travel like that. I`ve seen the Himalaya but not from your point of view, amazing. 5 Stars and i think im gonna buy your video asap.
dont no if anyone noticed but dam, tandem gliders are trimmed fucking fast. this video proves that, this thing is going quite fast for a paraglider

paragliding invests time and effort in nepal ,
training nepalese pilots to be future tandem pilots,& instructors, for the future sustainability of nepalese paragliding, for the
benefit of the local people.
paragliding pilots provide necessary income to the local economy & employment at a substancially higher level than any other tourism.
blue sky provide solutions not problems.
pilots visited even during the war when they
could easily have went on more beaten tracks
and safer places.MAMASTE!

why don't you go for yourself and see for yourself and then it might just lighten your
heart a little ,you sound like you have a chip
on your shoulder as wide as the himal.
don't just judge people by your own narrow
underdanding, blue sky is co-owned by nepalese
and barely brakes even,if you knew something
about running a paragliding co,then you would
know that there are no such thing as rich instructors,we do it for love.

Great trip. The Locals and birds were suitably impressed. I'm surprised they didn't need O2. Well done.

Like fl3dge commentet; this is NOT the work of the poster (Beebake).
Come on guys, the poster is 23, this film was made by pilot John Silvester and his camerman in 1999.
You do the math....
