Is there THAT much leeway for 2 trains to drive back to back....doin over at least 55 mph or? I'm sure some rabbit or deer is scared as ever to cross these tracks. They would rather just wait for next spring, rather than cross THESE tracks just for some friggin grass.

What was so sweat about this? that sucked... I didn't see any lightning? I was also hoping for mixed manifest trains.. i'm sick of seeing Stack trains and Trailer trains.. That's all BNSF / UP run now.. borin.
I was out there August 2; amazing how localised those storms are. Seems like you drive from dry conditions, into the storm for a few minutes, and then back out into dry territory.
Oh, you were. I know what you mean. It was flash flooding around Daggett, while bone dry in Newberry Springs. It rained there as well though. Amazing how little the ground absorbs water and how much excess is just sitting, even after a small storm.
HOT!!!! Suprises me how close those trains were to each other, crossing arms barley had time to rise before the next one arrived. Nice effect with the storm in the background. 5 stars.
Thanks. Yeah the 1st one, the Z overtook the other on the second main. Have to keep out of the Z's way and keep it going quickly in order to compete with truckers.
love those sounds!

These US trains are huge. In the UK we have a few stations closer together than the length of that consist! Thanks.

it's rare to see two BNSF trains going in the same direction in a matter of seconds on a rain+lightning day!! Cool!

You're right. It is quite rare. Good luck as well. The rain in the desert added beautiful sky and scenery.
