I .don't know how you manage to find all this material on Reeves, but I sure appreciate every bit of it. You actually give him more publicity than he got in his heyday. Really, just an occasional photo here & there. Perhaps if he had gotten this much publicity steroids may have been played down. He didn't approve of them nor hormone growth pills. All he had was food & high protein powder (and soybean powder at that).

Everything about Steve Reeves, just by looking at him tells you..."That's right, after this its all down hill". What I loved about him most for as beautiful as he was, he had a personality to match it. An extremely humble man. Why oh why didn't he have male children!

I just watched Steve Reeves in the original movies "Hercules" [1958] & "Hercules Unchanged" [1960] last week. Not only was Reeves one of my life heroes, he was the one major influence that kept me completely away from steroids, when I lifted weights in the late 60's/early 70's. Knowing that Reeves didn't even have the benefit of nutritional supplements (only good food) to build his incredible body, I just laughed at all of the other weightlifters who believed steroids were necessary/mandatory.
