Yeh, the Long Haul is built for this sort of thing. Strong, sturdy, yet light and agile enough. Totally recommend a Long Haul Trucker if this is the sort of thing you are going to be doing.
Regretted doing it with Panaracer tyres though; we had constant puncture trouble on the bad roads. Havent had any bother since switching to Schwalbe Marathons.
