If a soldier receives an order to kill innocent civilians, he is expected to instead of following these orders, to take action against the one who issued the order instead. The Law takes priority over the people, but the people are still over the government. The law even states that if any unlawful order be given, even by the President of the United States, then it is our duty as a Citizen to overthrow not only him, but the government itself.

I remembered when I was in elementry my teacher use to let us read "TianAnMen Square", which is a novel based on the 6.4 event. In the book it says when the army arrived at first the people had been really nice to them, but the speaker in the film, the foreign one, assumed from the beginning the people hated the army...
hm~ the footage provided doesn't even say that...
it makes so much difference if you have a chinese that was involved in the event to talk about it rather than a foreigner.

This is not just from him but alot of his classmates today says the same thing when ever this conversation gets brought up.
