The concept of God which many people embrace has been proven time and time again to be logically irreconcilable. Search "how to disprove God in less than 3 minutes".

If he believes that there is no God, then that's his choice and you have nothing to do with it. Also, saying that 'there is no God' is more logical than saying that 'there is a God' without any evidence to back your claim up, but that's just my opinion.

The bible supports slavery as an image of our relationship to God. we are slaves to god not in a bad sense that he is going to beat us if we don't obey, but in the sense that he has saved us from our sinful nature and we owe our lives to him. Racial slavery,however, is absolutely wrong in every form. The slave owners who used the bible to support their position were misinterpreting it. i know this may sound strange, but it is because we are used to thinking about slavery in a derogatory way.

Even in cultures where slaves were somewhat protected by the common law (mostly preventing them from being murdered or permanently crippled) they were treated as property, were denied education, were beaten and disrespected on a regular basis. This is the type of slavery that the Bible supports, in both the Old and New Testaments. And I'm pretty sure hell is worse than beatings
