yea they were great playin here again 12/9. it was an awesome show... didn't bring any lights or anything with them though. and i've worked with the band, so sorry to dissapoint the haters around but they don't lip sync. honestly i've never run into lip syncing at any rock concert period.

Whatever. Lip synching is for pussies. If you want to see that, go see Britney Spears. I for one was very disappointed when I watched from the side of the stage as Shinedown's personal sound man ran the recorded MAIN vocal tracks during their set. EVERY song I witnessed from the side of the stage was lip synched. Tool's frontman Maynard is a better singer, sings harder, and does two hour sets every night without lip synching. These guys are just straight up corporate rock, ala Backstreet Boys.

idk what your experience was like, but every time i've seen them, he hasn't lip synched. he just alters the melody to make it easier to sing. the only thing that might be prerecorded during the live shows is the backup vocals. but even that i think is a stretch.

he used to lip sync the chorus of I Dare You, you could tell in any youtube video how the vocals were just... different then the rest of the song. now he sings it, but he did lip sync second chance on The Tonight Show... every live show they play he sings every song nowadays.

Back then, it was Brent, Barry, Jasin and Zach - so it's more likely that THEY wrote the material (mostly Brent as you say, but still). Does that clear things up at all?
