yea they were great playin here again 12/9. it was an awesome show... didn't bring any lights or anything with them though. and i've worked with the band, so sorry to dissapoint the haters around but they don't lip sync. honestly i've never run into lip syncing at any rock concert period.
But not in this, not in their lower note songs.. he has no trouble owning these.
Songs like "i dare you" he may lip sing the chours, but that's just cause if he hit EVERY note he'd kill himself.. after a concert everyday i couldnt imagine what ur voice feel's like. And i'm a musician so i'd know, fuck head.
Whatever. Lip synching is for pussies. If you want to see that, go see Britney Spears. I for one was very disappointed when I watched from the side of the stage as Shinedown's personal sound man ran the recorded MAIN vocal tracks during their set. EVERY song I witnessed from the side of the stage was lip synched. Tool's frontman Maynard is a better singer, sings harder, and does two hour sets every night without lip synching. These guys are just straight up corporate rock, ala Backstreet Boys.
idk what your experience was like, but every time i've seen them, he hasn't lip synched. he just alters the melody to make it easier to sing. the only thing that might be prerecorded during the live shows is the backup vocals. but even that i think is a stretch.
he used to lip sync the chorus of I Dare You, you could tell in any youtube video how the vocals were just... different then the rest of the song. now he sings it, but he did lip sync second chance on The Tonight Show... every live show they play he sings every song nowadays.
But he isn't now. Saw them last Tues. in Asheville and he's back to genuine voice. They got the Shinedown felling back!!!! I've been going to shows since 06'
ChronicEnlightenment. This is gonna own you hardcore.. I saw your bitching and decided to look into it, i would just like you to go watch jadebabys recording of "Cry for help" at part of the song you can easily see zach' and nick's mic. So, can you can prove he is lip singing now? (which he isnt.. its brent smith, come on.. asshole) I can prove he ISNT in cry for help.. theres obvious mics and change of background vocals dude, come on.
Another thing -- Brent Smith does lip sing occasionalyy
tard...the other guitarist that does back up vocals is out of the shot genius...and are you saying that singers are never capable of singing a song exactly the way they wrote it?
You're right about "another hit". Judging from the videos from this show, The Sound of Madness has so many songs that could be SMASH hits. I am so unbelievable psyched to get my hands on the new album.
This is probably the 11th time I've watched this video! I love Shinedown! Amazing song!
And I can't believe I'm saying this but the bass guitar players are more alive than Brad. Please forgive me if this offends anyone but they are so electric!
Also, I like it when Zach and Brent link up in the lead-in to the chorus, it's damn cool. And then they break and it's funny how Zach goes off with his hair flopping around - it's funny!
id check ur facts on who wrote the music, brent writes basically every song, brad jasin and barry each contribute here and there but no where near every song.
who cares who was in the band at the time, anybody can play the music, not everyone can write it.
for instance search "sweet child o' mine" on youtube how many people have covered that perfectly?... then ask yourself how many people wrote the guitar solo.
I never said you had to CARE about who was in the band at the time. suprtroopr2006 said "Theres more talents in the new Shinedown", so I replied by remding him/her that the people performing on stage in this video aren't necesserily the one's who wrote this awesome material. Back then, it was Brent, Barry, Jasin and Zach - so it's more likely that THEY wrote the material (mostly Brent as you say, but still). Does that clear things up at all?
These guys are set to go, Im so proud of Shinedown. This pair here is smart enough to make good work. The different styles they each come from. Check out there myspace accounts. Also look at there credentials and equipment, musical skills. Eric plays piano ect..
Me+Brent=the best dream evea!

Yeah your right, but Devour is also a really good song so that pretty much says that this will be a great album.
