  • Γιατί βρε μανάρι μου δε μετρούσες ως το 3500 που είναι και τα χρόνια που υπάρχουμε πάνω στη Γη?Θα ήταν πολύ χρήσιμο...

  • @agoraki4everything @oustreee ρε καρντάσια είστε Έλληνες και μιλάτε στα αγγλικά? Δηλαδή πόσο μπροστά παίζει να είστε?

  • To everyone who wants to learn to speak greek:

bare in mind that the translation at 0:38 for "you 're welcome" is not "ευχαριστώ, Ef-hari-sto" but "παρακαλώ, Pa-ra-ka-lo". Ef-hari-sto means thank you, as it says at 0:27.

  • she makes me wanna punch her in face mann

  • I'm learning Greek and she's not even teaching this correctly!

    *My name is_______.*

    To onouma, enai_____.

That's the right way to introduce yourself.

  • @headlessgirl1394 "to onoma mu enai_______ " and "me lene______" means exactly the same in greek.

  • @heaver283 - I speak Greek and I was born there and I still speak it with my family and what u said is exactly what I was gunna say. people can't rely on google translate or anything cuz its wrong usually eh?

  • There are a few different ways of saying hello and goodbye: 'yassou' and 'yassas' can mean both. 'Herete' is hello and 'adio' is goodbye too.

Parakalo is please and you're welcome. I have never heard anyone use 'efaristo' as you're welcome before so I think that may be wrong (it means thank you). I have been visiting Greece for atleast 12 years now, and I'm 14. It is my second home (literally- my dad lives there).

  • το γάμησε τελείως....(she fucked it)....if she is going to talk in greece that way, everyone would think she is retarted....dont listen to her...she doesnt speak greek well....

  • @agoraki4everything milame auto den einai metafrash auto einai komodia gia na gelame emeis oi ellhnes otan to akoume xaxaxax pantws kalo pou ma8ainoun olo ton kosmo ellhnika kai kalh prospa8eia

  • @agoraki4everything Be polite. She's obviously Greek-American, I'm sure your English accent would sound much worse than her Greek accent.

  • @oustreee i m not rude, she is fooling us.. if she gives internet language lessons her accent has to be at least good... it's like you have a fat trainer at the gym to help you work out.. right?if she was greek-american her accent would be similar to that of the actors from my big fat greek family....and you're wrong again i am one of the minority who has a talent of using excellently multi-language accent and my english, french, italian and spanish pronunciation is as good as the original

  • @agoraki4everything If you had that talent you would understand that she is Greek-American... anyway politeness cannot be tought

  • @oustreee what an irony....a person with a nickname oustreee(greek translation: get the hell out of here) calls me rude...change your insulting nickname first and then you can talk about politeness.....

  • @agoraki4everything You'don't even have a clue what my nickname refers to but you still have an opinion. Typical know-it-all (xerolas as we say in Greek). And since you're so curious it refers to our politicians so I obviously don't plan to change it any time soon.

  • thank you froosh, what a great video.

  • now say PASOK.....ahahahaha

  • Lol, all intonations are wrong, because she stress every word on the first syllable, which is quite silly. Instaid of Kalí merá, she say káli mera ... all other words are also with stress on the wrong spot ... please dont learn greek with this video ... intonation is so important in greek, for example: kséro = I know, kseró = dry ... ti potá? = which drinks, típota = nothing, ...

  • and i kove you is sa-ga-po. Σ'αγαπώ

  • @MLPobsession you are right !! LOL

  • How would you say 'A Dobberman ate your cat'?

  • @15leighton o ntoperman efaen ta arxidia sou!

  • @TheKmariemahoney Ένα ανοιχτό μυαλό καλλιεργεί νέα ξεκινήματα. I hope you still want that:)

  • How handy this is! Is anyone Greek and can help me translate this sentence? I really like it. ---> "An open mind cultivates new beginnings."

  • WTF how long did it took to find a decent looking greek woman ...hahaha 10 years?

  • @drmaikati she is not greek and our girls rock

  • @Mk4vP i believe she IS greek but born in the usa(maybe), because her english accent is good and her greek accent is good also.. - when foreigners speak greek you can tell pretty fast-. But she is indeed good.

  • @byJessCh yeap most likely..her english accent is excellent but greek is very bad ;D

  • @Mk4vP maybe you haven't heard many foreigners speak greek. The can't even pronounce the vowels correctly. I found her accent really good. Like i said, she must be greek born in a foreign country.

  • @byJessCh yeah maybe...do u learn greek?

  • @drmaikati Well if you stop living in a cave then you'll find a decent greek woman. But don't uncomfort yourself, they will avoid you no matter what you do you racist freak :-))

  • @drmaikati While Greek women aren't the hottest neither are your horse-looking bulgarian women. Balkan women suck in general..... at least Greeks are mixed so they have women who look slavic, italian, etc.

    ps. give back macedonia prick...

  • That was so helpful, thank you so much

  • she speaks just like Aragorn was speaking the language of the elves in LotR

  • είναι Ελληνίδα η κοπέλα στο βίντεο ; Γιατί η προφορά της είναι διαφορετική (:

  • Μπράβο για τα πολύ ωραία Ελληνικά σου!!!!

  • it sounds me like na'vi language

  • @tasto124 i no thet what i thout

  • err i am not greek but isnt it parakalo means you welcome and adio is goodbye. If i am right rate this comment.

  • @Hazimin15 You are right but what she says is also correct. (I'm Greek)

  • @Hazimin15: You're right and she is right. As in any language, a word could have different meanings depending on a given situation. For instance if you ask me a question like "may I leave now"?, I could respond with "parakalo" meaning "please do" instead of just yes (neh). Yasas is more commonly used instead of adio especially among friends. It means "Hi" when you meet and "see you later" when you leave.

  • @Hazimin15 you are not right ..i am greek and of course its correct!!!

  • @Hazimin15 parakalo means please or you're welcome. you can use adio or geia for goodbye

  • @Hazimin15 adio is the formal goodbye, can also say ya sas, but yes youre welcome is parakelo

  • @Hazimin15 yes... it depends on the occasion... both phrases are correct....

  • @Hazimin15

I'm learning. You're not wrong but there are more than one ways to use certain words. I've seen "parakalo" most often used for "please" as well as for "you're welcome." "Efharisto" I've seen often mean "thank you" as in "Eimai poly kala efharisto" (I'm very well thank you) in case you're not confused enough!

  • @Hazimin15 it can mean please and you're welcome

  • can you please make more,

    i need to learn,

soon going to greek islands and Mykonos

would you be able to tell me what they call those books that translate words to other langauges?

  • @nguyenimproved Fuck you :^D

  • For a foreign, she has a really good accent!

  • Is somebody laughing after she says goodbye @ 0:21? Hahahaha

  • @roxmuch yeah I guess so! ahahahahah

  • fucking sexy greek girl , damn she's hotttt !!!!!

  • @onoaptelunga

    more towards hebrew...

  • So in greek goodbye is yes

  • nice accent :)

  • PARAKALO is you're welcome. ahaha i clicked on this hoping it was something funny just bad translations by some amerikani...

  • The best way to speak correctly Greek is to forget all English way of reading.

You will get more comfussed because of the multiple vocal applications of the letters in all English dialects

    Reading Greek the German way

(what you see is what you read mainly) plus the Spanish ''dd'' and ''th'' is probably a better way

  • For the expression ''You're welcome'' is more commonly used the word

    ''Παρακαλώ'' which would sound

''Parakalo'' and literally means ''Over-call'' and has the main meaning of ''please''.

  • "youre welcome' is not Euxaristw! Why put mistakes on Youtube for all the world to see? Why?

  • such a beautiful language!!!i wish i could study it, but in italy greek isn't taught in universities

  • yes but you are taught ancient greek.. which is very beautiful :) a friend of mine from italy had ancient greek lessons and he understands many many words when i speak :)

  • skata na fate touvla

  • it's very confusing if you are Bulgarian in Greece, cause bulgarian word for "no" is pronounsed "ne", which in greek means "yes" ;)

  • Can anyone tell me the main differences between greek & modern greek? :)

  • Mostly the loss of dative case in modern greek, the loss of intinitive and some phonological changes(accents ect)

  • Ah ok thank you very much ^^

  • nothing really

  • @Uberboy07 modern greek derives from ancient greek. just like italian derives from latin

  • you mean ancient greek and modern greek?

  • ευχαρίστω οχι ευχαριστώ αρε ..noobs oloi mono emis milame tis glosses tous kala....agglika ta kseroume ayti ellinika dn boroun na mathoun...

ya sas lol ti allo tha do omg omg re varas to kefali s

  • @Chris124ful εντάξει δεν λέω οτί δεν θα μπορούσαν να προσπαθήσουν αλλά ας μην συγκρίνουμε και ανόμοια πράγματα . Τα ελληνικά είναι πολύ δύσκολα . Και μην είμαστε εγωιστές εμάς είναι η μητρική μας γλώσσα και μας φαίνεται εύκολη (:

πάντως και μένα θα μ'αρεζε να μαθαίναν οι ξένοι ελληνικά

  • wtf bye and hello are the same ??

  • @Almarian4eg nope.. bye is adio

  • ya works as hello and goodbye as well

  • @Almarian4eg If the people are familiar, yes it's the most used unofficially.

    The most proper would be

''Is to epanidin'' as sounds in German.

That would freely be translated as

(looking forward) ''to see (each other) again''.

As for Adio, yes it's correct, but more in final situations.

(expl. The son goes to war and the mother says Adio)

  • @Almarian4eg it could be..adio is bye actually

  • xaxaxa k ama pei xenos to harika pou sas gnorisa.......

  • this is such a big help! thank you!

  • Yeah you are right

  • I'm from Bulgaria but i speak Greek , she hasn't got good accent. But that is not a problem 'cause not everyone can speak it . It is quite difficult

  • @plamsitybg Well there is no real reason to know it. There are more people living in New York City than live in all of Greece.

  • @kraigthorne With that logic, we shouldn't know the majority of Europe's languages. Also Mr. Patriot your language and everything about it is british, not american....

  • @SirGeorge8600 I have to agree with you. One of the best things that happend to the Americas is oblideration of about a thousand languages that were spoken in the Americas before 1500. Today there are only three major languages spoken here. It would be fantastic if there were just one, but I will take 3 over 1,000 any day of the year.

  • @kraigthorne I guess. English is spoken today majorly as a form of imperialism from many years back. Spanish is slightly taking over because of over-breeding and vast immigration...no offense. I personally would rather keep languages and culture as opposed to have a mono-orwellian society.

  • @SirGeorge8600 I see language a the thing that people use to talk to eachother and I think it would be best for the world if all the people of the Earth could all know one language that everyone knows, so everyone would be albe to speak to eachother. I do not see language and culture having to go hand in hand. After all both are always changing over time.

I also think people have the right to decide what culture they use (as long as a cultur does not harm others).

  • the pronunciation isn`t verry correct but it`s allright

  • Her pronunciation was good quite good, wish all to be able to pronunce Greek with the same way and she is obvious a Greek American and not Greek.

  • I AM GREEK!! yes that were greeks, but not with a good accent...

  • @SirBebis he is right....the accent needs a little work....

  • @footbine

Well if ever she is stuck for a place to sit she will be always welcome at mine.

  • @footbine That's a pleasant thought.

  • die you greek scum

  • What's your problem ? I would like to know please.

  • @ivan4503 You're an idiot...

  • its true that greek yes (neh) sounds like a no in most other languages....(neh,nein,no etc)

  • nej :)

  • neh means no in bulgarian ^^

  • 0ax0ax0ax o-hee

  • Hmm... My dad says hello as "Ya-sou." He's full Greek and was born there. Whatever, though, Lol. xD

  • "ya-sas" is when you want to say hello to more than one people or when you want to say it politely..

"ya-sou" is when you want to say hello to someone you know ( friend, family some1 your age".. hope you understand the difference :)

  • xD right! :) thankx, friend. ^^
