Standard guages like on an automobile, then youve got all your air pressures for the two systems and trailer/truck more temp guages than a car (tranny exhaust ect) switches are for all the lights differential lock fifth wheel lock, parking brake, trailer air evac, airbag deflation ect ect

That is called chaos :)) Lots of buttons with lots of gauges. In Europe all those gauges are controlled by a single onboard computer, that shows you all you need on LCD screen. Only, rpms, temp of the oil, speed and fuel gauge are in analogic. The Peterbilt 550 is cool, but it's damn confusing. I like the exhaust sound very much tho. Peace

I got a question to ask you truckers... Why is it that 96% of the time when you guys bring orders to me (normally one or two pallets) stuff is always missing.

The places I buy from always seal the whole pallet but stuff gets ripped off. Many times when I personally go in the truck I have found the missing items behind other pallets. Other times the drivers went NUTS and start yelling when I want to have a look around. They act very guilty.

let me xplain it so u can understand it okay? when u get the trailer from the yard or where ever you are supposed to put a paddalock on the trailer. and only authorized personel or the person with the key can get in the trailer. so it aint the truck drivers fault.......it's the people who load the trailers

I thought I was a real badass until they came out with the 435HP CAT.....

That was --almost-- twenty years ago!

Ok... then, when Intel came out the 450Mhz CPU, for sure, I was a Real Badass with my "Peacemaker" 'puter until they came out with the 500Mhz CPU a few months later.

At least I didn't spend a $100,000 grand on a truck that is probably a Coke can today.

To bad they wont make caterpillar on highway engines for the trucks over here after 2009. man I have been a field mechanic for a long time but never thought Caterpillar would ever stop making a on highway diesel. They said do to the 2010 diesel emissions demand they would lose so much money and have to charge more for the engine they wouldn't make it. basically the 2010 diesel engines have to be 0 emissions that means you can put your mouth on the exhaust and breath it. What a shame.
