@Elowai He commits evil to eliminate a greater evil. In his heart and up to the end, he's always been good. He is cold and calculating and treats people like pawns, but it is up to each viewer to decide if that is the act or if his alter ego, Zero, is the act. He does it for his sister and the betterment of the world, not for himself (the end proves that). So, the answer is he is the lesser evil? Hope that helps :)

I think death note was made before Cg so does anyone think some ideas were "borrowed" from dn? Plus, why is this video the only video on YouTube where I can fond the full song? Secondly dn is better than Cg, and Cg ops and ends are not as good as dn's. The fact that an anime uses mecha implies that is the only way the makers know how to provide their shallow fans with "excitement". Just saying...

@S1rjoemama well, that's some kind of subjective. Mecha can be really interesting, smart and well done too, as seen in CG. I'm not a huge fan of the genre either (well to say it: I somewhat hate it, most of the time, so I know what you mean). ...and why the song is only to be found here? cuz the song is part of copyright and they probably removed it in other videos. maybe this one has a higher pitch or was just forgotten somehow.

By the way I thought deathnote started to get bad once L died (but that's probably only my personal option).

The first half of deathnote blew me away and If they had ended on L's death it would have been a perfect series in my book.

@Feilaevarin To be fair, that was kind of the point in Death Note. After L's Death, Light got lazy and took things for granted and left himself open to a counterattack by Near. He couldn't do his genius plans because he was taken by suprise.

Plus, Near cheated. He cheated so much.
