I'm a natural closer, but you said it well, "what to do when it gets awkward." NOW I KNOW! THANKS! Already listened to this twice!!! :)

  • @MedSalesRecruiter Your hair is better like this. You are much help to me, I have worked same job for 30 years, and now will interview. I have a full resume, but not ever really mastered the interview. You are professional, and clear. One point you may want to improve is you sound a little too unemotional.

  • Great advice will be sure to use it in my interview this afternoon!!

  • wonderful tips, i´m learning english because i'm a hispanic person but with i'm going to practice this devices in other occasion where ill have a interview, thank you so much

  • Why would you present to someone who couldn't hire you?

  • Thank you so much!!!! I was at first uncomfortable with the idea of closing this way because it sounded kind of pushy. But I'm so glad I did it! I GOT THE JOB! I'm so happy. I really owe it to being confident, asking plenty of questions to show interest in the job, and in closing the interview! Thank you for this advice!

  • Wonderful tips, thank you so much! One question though; I will be attending an interview with three different individuals one-on-one, one after the other. Do you recommend me using this type of closing with all three?

  • As an RN seeking work in a competitive acute care setting, I can't tell you how helpful this is. So many specific examples of how to sell yourself. Bless you! I'll let you know if I land the job!

  • @xBuddhaChildx Thank you for the kind words. Best of luck in the interview!

  • Your tips really work. Thank you very much. I had a successful interview and was offered the job. More power to you, Peggy.

  • You are SO AWESOME!! You helped me get a job I was very interesting in getting.

    YOU ROCK!!

  • @44SEARCHING Congratulations!!

  • This is probably the best video Peggy's done!

    1:21 - Basic close script.

    2:18 - Assumptive closes.

2:49 - Handling pushback to the close attempt from interviewer.

3:48 - Handling objections to the close from the interviewer.

5:01 - Close for interviewing with a gatekeeper (like HR), not with the hiring manager, including handling pushback.

    7:18 - Handling a no #1 (asking why).

7:47 - Trial closes to use at any time.

    8:17 - Handling a no #2 (deferring the no & setting a follow-up appointment).

  • @ObiWanBillKenobi This is nice. I hope the viewers like it....

  • Dear Peggy,

I cant thank you enough for the valuable advice and insights you provided in the videos. I recently applied for a dream job with one of N A's leading financial institutes, knowing that I was pushing my boundary a little bit, I took no slack in the preparation for the interviews. I took your advice whole heartedly and practised a lot. It worked like magic. I landed the dream job! Peggy, from the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being a great career coach/mentor!

  • i love you darling.. you are toooo good.. thanks for this wonderful tips which I'll surely use tomorrow during my interview

  • Nice

  • Excellent advice, I plan to apply this on my next interview. I love the 'would there be any reason why we wouldn't move forward?' question.

  • Really excellent advice and applicable to sales and marketing positions in a variety of industries, anywhere where being a resourceful and direct salesperson during the interview is appealing to hiring managers or influencers.

  • Thank you very much for the positive words. I thought it was powerful. A manager friend of mine freaked out when he saw it...said that it gave away too much information. To me the information has always been there, it is the implementation that is tough.

I've gotten a lot of views in the last 3 days - what link did you use to find this video?

    Thanks.

    Peggy
