I gotta say though, they did a great job emulating G1 Optimus Prime, the way the front wheels are placed when going to vehicle mode reminds me of how G1 Optimus' arms are transformed when going to vehicle mode.

@nitrodudezoom Except that in Prime, they don't already have any prior knowledge of Dark Energon. And in WFC, Bumblebee vocal processors aren't damaged beyond repair. That only happens during the events of Transformers: Exodus. It's really hard for me to grasp that Prime is in the same continuity with WFC and Exodus, but it was also hard for me to figure out that Transformers: Cybertron was also in the same continuity as Transformers: Armada and Transformers: Energon

personally, i think this is a figure i would love to death, partially because of that awesome fanservice packaging and partially because of the smart way they handled the legs. one of the things that annoys me about optimus figures is that the legs are very obvious in vehicle mode and on this one they address that in a really smart way with that extra folding step

I think WFC fits the G1 AND the Prime cannon just fine, I think it starts as the same story and then branches out two directions, like different timelines. If you were to look at parralel universes from a god's point of view, it'd look an awful lot like a giant railyard.
