You delay going to bed too.

When I would spend the night at my ex boyfriends apartment, we would hear this weird marble sound at like 6 am. And it wouldn't stop until 12pm. It sounded like someone would drop a marble and let it bounce and then it would slide. We would also hear furniture being moved. It was the strangest thing.

i have same problem! its an old building and floors squeak with EVERY step you take, i hate it but our floor does same thing, you cant take a step without loud squeaking. talked to landlord but they'd have to tear up all the carpet and re-attatch subfloor underneath. what a pain. the trouble with old wooden buildings!

Oh Jesus that is BEYOND annoying. I used to live in a place like that. What I did was run some sort of mechanical device such as a fan to generate white noise, then I picked up a economy sized package of ear plugs. That's the ONLY way I made it through those years. Wore them every time I was in the apartment and used headphones to watch TV.

im on the top floor and my floors squeak like hell, i try to avoid the worst parts of the floor but between the kitchen and and bedroom it thins out and is unavoidable, that seems worse then my floors overall though good luck

My heart goes out to you:( I feel the pain. The neighbors are constantly playing their stereo with LOUD bass. I get like 2-3 hours of sleep a night.
The sleep deprivation and exposure to loud noise is torture. In fact, they use loud music and sleep dep at Gito...wonder why?
My lanlord refuses to honor the lease and refuses to evict the guy. Even though he's gotten loud noise tickets.
