Life wasn't without its challenges, however. At one point, when it appeared that there was no way to resolve family differences, the bishop, with the aid of members and missionaries, was able to help Marco and his wife feel the Lord's atoning love, softening their hearts to seek repentance.
A few weeks later, Marco received a call to serve in the ward's young men presidency. His faith continued to grow as he served in other callings. Soon the Melchizedek Priesthood was conferred, allowing him to baptize his mother, father and son as they received their testimonies.
Interesting, but the Smithsonian and National Geographic magazine don't agree. You can't make claims like some natives to the Americas are of middle eastern descent and not have any evidence...
They have found a small group of Locals within Guatemala that have DNA of indiginous to the culture of the middle East and not Asia.
Dr. John L Sorenson PhD of Anthropology has arguements and points that are Google-able that make the statement of Smithsonian and National Geographic obsolete.
I googled Dr. Sorenson PhD and it returns his address to BYU, but I can't find any scientific articles that he's released challenging DNA work from a variety of geneticists not just from NatGeo, but from European and North American academia.
@Malocosa ...strange, I was able to find over a quarter million hits. I think that makes you a google noob..hahahah ..just joking, but yeah there is alotta (250000+) stuff you musta...umm...just innocently missed.
They resolved their differences and grew closer to each other and the Lord, enabling them to be sealed in the temple in November 2008.
