@nuaurea the BB is mostly an overdrive front end stomp box used to add to you existing tone......the rack mount preamp such as the triaxis used in this video is where the majority of the actual tone comes from....it's providing the base of the distortion.

it is perfect to add sustain to your solos....i even demonstrate how the BB can add sustain to a typical lead channel towards the end of the video.

OD pedals generally are ran in front of the amp..delay and stuff like that goes in the loop.

thanks! the effects are coming from a lexicon mpx-1. It is running in stereo. I dont remember the exact settings but it is a preset I created that has quite a bit of reverb (plate verb i think) , a little delay (around 400ms) and a very slight pitch modulation to emulate very light chorusing.

Hi. What does the BB sound like on an already distorted channel? does it tighten up the sound? i have a JMP-1 but i would like it to have a bit more gain and saturation. Will the BB be good for this? I dont wanna use it for a clean boost..only for (more) distortion. Thanks.

yes, the BB does a great job working with an already distorted tone.  it will really tighten things up nicely.

that's where this pedal really shines.. it doesn't alter the mids of your tone, it adds a nice high end, and lots of gain (but doesn't cause obsessive feedback)

thanks for the kind words....the BB to my ears only adds nice elements to your sound...i dont hear it taking anything away and the EQ actually works like it should. I have heard the Klon Centaur and it is very nice..my best friend has one and it sounds good but it is killer when coupled with his landgraff...but those 2 pieces cost him over $700 as well!!! LOL....so for my money on a one shot deal under $200 the BB is a nice way to go.

Man, nice job. I was looking for some video that shows the BB with some hi gain and, man, yours shows that´s a great choice for anybody... great video. Anyway, I use a pre-amp Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier. Too boost, I have one TS9 and one Wylde OD. The first one kills my lows, while I think that the second one needs more bright. So, is the active EQ from BB really really good? Tears, brow!
