im glad they deleted this ending. It is too sad and it gave Lara a litle bit "evil" image when she left Amanda there alone. It kinda feels like this was the last tomb raider game...

I'm glad they took out the last part. Lara and Amanda were finally given the chance to become friends so it gives you hope, and offers some great character development with Amanda. This last scene totally destroys that whole development.

This isn't proven to be the ending, it is just randomly assumed so, it could easily have been part of the intro to the last level. she doesn't even have Excalibur and I don't see why that wouldn't be there as it can hardly take much programing to put it on her back.

poor amanda......i dont care if she threw a rock at lara.. lara should of helped her.. lara always helps her enemys. for example....tr:chronicles. yuranov of the russion sinking boat. she tried to help him even tho he captured her.. then u have werner von croy who after all he put lara through.. she still tried to help him in tr:aod.. well at least she went to see him without killing him...and then larson or pierre wen in tr:chronicles wen she told em the dragons were guna eat em.. ge tthe point

@frogradar and the doppleganger...when it wanted to kill lara in BENEATH THE ASHES..lara got control of doppelganger then lara let it live..ecen tough the doppelhoe killed laras best friend and nearly killed her!..but she let the doppelhoe live

I feel the same too. Poor Amanda. Lara should help Amanda up. But that's kind of rude that Lara decided to leave Amanda immobile & helpless. Lara should help Amanda, not leave her behind.

If they put this in the game, it would've really f***ed up TR (well, f***ed it up even more, its already horrible since underworld plot was crap) because the whole TR series was devoted to finding out what happened to her mother ever since TR1, but they gave her mum a crappy ending. If amanda died, there'd be nothing left but natla who keeps coming back cuz EIDOS are too LAZY to think up a GOOD plot once and a while so they ask the janitor when he walks past for a good idea for the next game!

Amanda Threw it off The Cliff into The Lava Water and saved Lara From it Until this but Core Design and Chrystal Dynamics decided for this not to happen.instead Amanda and Lara arnt really friends but Amanda isnt after lara anymore.and lara isnt after Amanda anymore

yeah Underworld will be the last quality Tomb Raider game we'll ever get. SInce EIDOS wants to reboot the entire franchise(again) to make Lara a female friendly james bond esque character. meaning they'll take away her english accent and probably give her blonde hair.

Crystal Dynamics felt that Lara didn't have to kill Amanda, as usual, Crystal Dynamics is afraid of violence, which is the reason why there's no blood in Anniversary, Legend :|

Because it isn't official ending. Imagine that : she could leave Lara for death in Helheim (by pulling out another Excalibur-like sword without giving her hand but she didn't) or attack her by her amulet (I forgot the name of it). But not! She came up with briliant idea of attacking her by pice of rock AFTER all of this. Alternative ending? Rather ridiculous ending!

besides, that's a delete scene, which means, lara and amanda might still be fighting on the next game. this video i seen for the first time. after i finish the story on my ds, i only saw lara and amanda walking their serpate ways and that's it.

but when he means peru he means when amanda got stuck in the room with all the water. nut in boliva when she hit amanda in the head. if she can survive being stuck in rocks under water im sure she can survive being in the snow with a broken leg and a pendant with like power and stuff in it that was either heal her leg or let he float . . . or turn into that flying monster like at the end of legand. the monster she had to defeat
