  • using a headset and can hear fine, but the quality of this documentry is poor and static. Sound nowadays is perfect!

  • The sound balance of this programme is pretty poor. Commentary is very hard to hear.

  • Officers still get their silver cutlery, this is such a two teir army we have,

  • 6;50 You heartless bastards! Give me my Weetabix! AAAARGH!!!!

  • I'd fucking shit myself if I was up there!

  • the pole feet balancing thing looks dodgy if you fuck it up your falling some height

  • why would you even bother with weetabix???!!!! it doesnt fuel fuck all, hamsters starve to death on more than 2 of those fuckin things!

  • Para's FTW

  • Fuck id want at least 5 fkn weetabix man

  • i know it isnt about this but everytime i see number 38. wtf is up with his nips? and his back?!

  • @rknjamezie13 Dunno about his nips but as for his back that's gotta be from the base of his Bergen...I did 3 miles at probably half their pace with around 15kgs today and that's what I have :P

  • @rknjamezie13 Think he had vasaline on his nips to stop chafing....apparantley it hurts getting your tits burnt off with friction :)

  • he's got you sussed no.8.. haha

  • This is hat P-Coy, everyone can RTU, when you got no where to RTU to, can you imagine how much harder it was?

  • Fuck I would stay low around that officer, wants to be a hero too bad, no matter how many men he loses.

  • 5:45 am fuckin hell they have it good....we were up at 3:30 -4:00 at Lympstone!!

  • Can't hear the Narration. Stupid shitty Channel 4!

  • its very intresting watching this I would say this was made in the late 80s

Where are they all now what are they doing

The Goverment takes the best from you when you get old and leave the forces your forgotten

Is it really worth all the effort you tell me

  • @nylonTS Would you rather wank your life away stacking shelves at Tesco?

  • @Rapist87 In the long run you would be more thought of and the pension would be better

I dont see Tesco makeing cut backs in staff at present but i do see our soilders getting paid off

And I belive there even thinking of taking away the airborne allowance

So maybe Tescos would be better

    Thanks for the comment

  • @nylonTS Yeah from your answer it's obvious that you don't get the real reason most guys join an elite regiment. It has very little to do with pensions or airborne allowances. They join because they feel drawn to it in a way that is impossible to describe. You either feel it, or you don't.They want to prove they are good enough and be a part of what they hold in such high standing, and live a life of comradeship and adventure. These personalities are not suited to Tesco and would most likely suicide

  • @Rapist87 Young men are Fit and Keen and Stupid and are used by Our Govt and then disgarded

I work for a forces charity and see first hand Ex Soilders liveing on our capitals street most are Infantry Soilders and a lot elite forces

Men are stupid to be used like this and so i still come to the point is all this Training worth it

The adventure of life becomes very real for the ex soilders involved , Ex soilder has a whisky bottle as a freind

  • @nylonTS Yes the training is worth it. I agree with some of what your saying. I was a cheeky little fucker when I was younger, a lot younger. Did Junior Para at Pirbright, then P-Coy in the winter of 91. I have to be frank, the training was worth it, it taught me respect, trust, pride, none of which I had before, I maybe wasnt good enough or tough enough, but I gave it a bloody go. Not many people can say that.

  • @rabkebab28 only you will know personally if its worth it

What do you do for Liveing after service ?

    Are you well paid ?

are you set up for life becuase of what you did in the army?

I belive our young men give there all and are soon for forgoton

If you look at the benifts ex vets have in the USA we give our ex solders very little

I watched this video to learn what my cliants have been through and its been intresing to learn a little

Im still not sure its worth it

  • Do Women Do P C0y now

  • you can totally tell when the seargants are shouting at the officers, they shout a lil more subtler lol

  • haha i've been to that bridge just for a walk, didnt know the paras trained on it, however, my dad did say when he was an engineer he done that brdge :P

  • Few Hayrick's have been dropped of that bridge

  • 2:05 - Didnt know John Burton Race was a para.

  • Is the trainasium still used in p company?

  • The illusion jump was the easy bit lol

  • I've been over that bridge a few times lol...

  • God, the people that made this documentary must have had a really crap sound editor, the narrator is just quiet enough to be irritating! Good programme though, thanks for posting, and thanks for posting The Paras too, I enjoyed that.

  • @gullivera

The program is in the channel 4 archive - been online for years (i watched it there years ago) and the sound of the narrator is normal.

It must be a problem from converting from video tape or something...

  • "There is nothing for you to be afraid of up there..........it is only the height of a 5 story building...so smile and enjoy"

  • great video.... hurray hurray for the btrit's para....

Cpl Rossa S. Belgian para-commando brigade.

  • "You are looking suspect son" Quality

  • fucking ruperts r dicks

  • who's the company sergeant major?

  • @mrclumsy100 GOD!!!

  • Only TWO weetabix per man! Come on! You need THREE to defend the nation.

  • how far apart is the standing jump on the trainazium?

  • can't stand these toffey nosed officers! Spoilt school boys. You can tell soon as you see them, 'happy hills'! Tits!

  • @DarthDamoss theyv fought for there country what hav you done ye there toffey nose wankers but they still deserve respect for wat they do

  • IS THE SELECTION THE SAME TODAY?

  • number 8 is a wanker!!! WO2 toldhim him so!!

  • The guy with the rugby shirt on is Lt Firth.

  • That No 8 bloke who did the All Arms Commando course previously is fucking useless.

  • "get across that fucking beam"!

  • Tucker

  • The Major with the speech impediment claiming 14 year olds go over the trainasium. Yeah, right! Not without a safety harness they don't, hardest bit for me was the parallel bars.

  • I was 17 yrs old when I first crossed that bridge; across the Basingstoke canal; fond memories.

  • fucking christ. I'm joining the marines and the tarzan seems bad enough! i don't have a head for heights, so i'm pretty sure i've made the right choice by not joining the airborne!

  • no. 8, I can't believe he chickened out, he did complete the commando course at lympstone and the tarzan assault course is higher and harder than this

  • the tarzan assualt course is alot smaller than this. Iv seen it.

  • no it's not.

  • good argument it musnt be then

  • @area51er6

being a commando is different to being a para it is that simple. There is no guarantee that if you pass one you will pass the other.

  • @bighands69 In my opinion the lympstone course is harder, full regain on the ropes and 30miler in 8hrs, the only thing compareable in P co. is the 6 foot jump on the trainazium and strectcher run, but a RMC's cardio is probably better than a Para

  • @area51er6 He didn't chicken out, he pulled out so he didn't do a permanent injury. If he's done the commando course then why would he want to do p company! Apart from perhaps a recklessness and want to test himself further!

  • @DocRoe92 Who wouldn't want to do the commando course a p.co, you could be a airborne commando, the greatest warrior in the world... I don't think he was injured, other ppl had injurys but sucked it up

  • @area51er6 This is true, Airborne Commando is the best of the best of the best!!!!!! He probably talked himself into it thinking that he's already done the all arms cdo course so why try p company?

  • @area51er6

but you can already do parachuting in the royal marines....

  • @area51er6

The tarzan assault course is higher than a 4 storey building? Hmmm im not sure...

I know what you mean about thee guy tho - but dont forget he was 5 years younger when the did the commondo course. This sort of training fcks your body up quicky...

  • @area51er6 In your opinion, he obviously thinks different

  • @area51er6 - Bear in mind that it's one thing to pass a selection course and then to have to pass another one after you've already proven yourself the first time round. He probably just had enough or didn't feel it was worth all the hassle.

I remember an SAS sergeant saying somewhere that no trooper is ever as fit as he is on the day he passes selection - you can practically see him glowing.

  • Couple of little cocks.

  • buck she boys, jumpin a bit different mind.

  • i still hear it now "On the command GOoooo" after 26 years you never forget.

  • I used to skydive and have a few BASE jumps... I could NOT do the trainasium. That thing scares the shit out of me.

  • @LCPStud BASE jumps are far more intimidating than taninasium!

  • no no no no dont touch the bars

  • "It is only the height of a 5 story building" LMAO!

  • i like the difference between the DPM and the jump smocks

  • Thanks for uploading wayne.

  • P-company. It's not big,it's not clever, but it's FUKKING hard

  • @Rapist87 u bet ur arse it hard

  • Larde dah officers, we fell off a log - bollocks

  • the first jump on the platform does ne1 know how far the panels are apart from each other ?

  • approx` 6 feet. Seems bigger up there mind. Deceptive as the landing platform is lower.
