It wouldn't be inaccurate to assume that I couldn't exactly not say that it is or isn't almost partially incorrect. On the contrary, I'm possibly more or less not definately rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably do or do not know where he should not probably be. NOPE no contest.. LD BELL WILL BEAT MARCUS BY FAR...their show this year brings you goose bumps! They beat Marcus in prelims at BOA by 3 pts and 1 pt. State will be no problem.

Listen to Marcus' video. Music was MUCH harder. Hell, listen to Cedar Park '06. Those woodwind runs at the end of the show? While moving? Beat that.

i agree. Marcus' whole band was playing more difficult music while marching hard drill. if you notice, LD Bell relies on solos and their front ensemble while the rest of the band marches hard drill. the former is more commendable rather than the latter. sorry, while this performance is great, aesthetics and theatrics aren't everything.

false. marcus' shows are just as hard if not harder and definitely better. Also, l.d. bell has 6 synth. players, 5 of which hold chords the entire show to drown out any bad sounds possibly made by the band. their shows dont expose anything. and in every show, they have a segment where they all stand in the back of the field and play while the guard does everything.

A bunch of BOA style show's don't do well at state.

Take my band in 04', we had a better show than Dunbar, and a better crowd reaction. But our show was way harder, hence more dirty, PLD had a clean, easyier(sp?) show, we got second, they won. but we did well in GN finals, if they would have went, they almost definitly would not have.

State judgesand BOA judgeslook for differnt things.

They aren't as different as you may think.

That's why LD Bell can go win a UIL based competition but a BOA one as well. It's a matter of how you perform your show.

Some bands, however, make the mistake of adding TOO MUCH "BOA"ness if you will, that at a UIL competition, the show can't hold well together without it.
