Windows PCs can hold their own very well, considering the massive variety of 3rd party drivers they have to deal with, even if it's for some cheap Chinese device. People make Windows drivers for just about anything and come from anywhere.

I have had my Dell Pc for 8 years, and it can STILL outprocess some of my friends' new macs. Albeit, it has given me problems before, but nothing like randomly crashing programs or revolting at my whims.

If it weren't for PCs, my I.T. business would not have made much money. Apple only has about 9% of computer market share. The best PCs i trust are the ones I build myself with researched components. If you don't know about computers, a Mac is best I find. Since Win7 came out Pc is more stable.

Microsoft, Dell, HP, Gateway etc have all profited from the innovations of others, and "borrowed" concepts from open-source initiatives that they didn't "do anything for". Same for Apple. Same for the movie and music industries... Same for big business in general for that matter.

Vendors source parts from various suppliers and integrate them into their designs. Apple is no different in that respect. Apple was wise to move away from PowerPC chips. PC is not a single brand as you imply. The differentiation is in the OS, and with osx it's basically a freebsd base.

The computer I'm currently on does everything I need and want it to and is powerful enough to run any game or program that will be made for the next 5 or so years before I'll have to upgrade. I didn't buy it straight up from the shop or from Dell, I bought the components, software, peripherals, monitor, etc. that I specifically wanted and assembled the system myself, I could actually have bought 2 of each and have 2 decent PC systems that would still have been cheaper than a mid-range Mac.
Since a lot of retards replied to me at the same time (meaning all these people are probably one lowlife person anyway) I'm not wasting my time reply to any of them. A PC that costs more than a mac, i agree, is more of a waste of money than an imaginary implement. Macs, you get what you pay for. Pcs have lower specs, and, well, they just suck. well i havent really had any of these problems with my macbook, well i havent had any problems for the years i have had it. I allways have to help my friends who have windows but my friends who have macs never have any problems eather, well this video is 2 years old. idk i have such a had time useing windows now. it just dosent feel the same as my macbook. when im at collage and i have to use a windows pc, it makes me miss my macbook.
im using a Alienware m17x and i video edit on that and its amazing. but when i go to school i use a mac book for my tv video class, and it takes like 3 minutes to import a 27 second video, and 3 hours to export.

the click and drag you mentioned is the same for windows desktop because it doesnt allow click/drag copying straight to the desktop without really selecting copy.
I use a mac G5 with OS X at work and most of this is still true. Adobe programs + Entourage regularly shut down on their own with no warning, but god forbid I should want to log out, because if I have ANY programs running it locks up. I have force quit every program before attempting to log off.
Then there's the hardware. Why the hell do they insist on white? After a week of use the keyboard is a nasty grey. And a one button mouse? Seriously? We've had 2+ button mice for YEARS. Get with it apple

I've owned a mac for about two years, and I loved it for music, video, and editing (to a certain extent). But anything outside of that, well... There's a reason I'm a PC now. Most of those things weren't even true back then, and the makers of the video didn't believe any of this either. When it comes to programming, yeah macs suck, use linux for that. But for video editing, macs are probably better, but you can use windows if you have sony vegas pro. It really depends on your preference as well as what you want to do with it.

Windows has auto-run too, and it's easy to turn them off in both Windows and OS X. Jumping icons? Ever see endless notification from Windows update wanting to reboot your computer? I have used both macs and pc's for a long time and if there is one thing that is true it is that window crashes a lot more than and apple system will. I have never had either of my macs crash on me. I have had all of my pc's crash on me tons of time. If anyone wants to save themself some trouble, spend the week it takes to learn how to really use a mac and save your self the months of headaches you will have with microsoft.

The computer I'm currently on does everything I need and want it to and is powerful enough to run any game or program that will be made for the next 5 or so years before I'll have to upgrade. I didn't buy it straight up from the shop or from Dell, I bought the components, software, peripherals, monitor, etc. that I specifically wanted and assembled the system myself, I could actually have bought 2 of each and have 2 decent PC systems that would still have been cheaper than a mid-range Mac.

A PC that costs more than a mac, i agree, is more of a waste of money than an imaginary implement. Macs, you get what you pay for. Pcs have lower specs, and, well, they just suck. I use a mac G5 with OS X at work and most of this is still true. Adobe programs + Entourage regularly shut down on their own with no warning, but god forbid I should want to log out, because if I have ANY programs running it locks up. I have force quit every program before attempting to log off.
Then there's the hardware. Why the hell do they insist on white? After a week of use the keyboard is a nasty grey. And a one button mouse? Seriously? We've had 2+ button mice for YEARS. Get with it apple

I've owned a mac for about two years, and I loved it for music, video, and editing (to a certain extent). But anything outside of that, well... There's a reason I'm a PC now. I still own macs, just not for anything major. I can only really say they've only gotten worse, with even more problems since then. It's sad, maybe biased, but mostly true. :/

Most of those things weren't even true back then, and the makers of the video didn't believe any of this either. When it comes to programming, yeah macs suck, use linux for that. But for video editing, macs are probably better, but you can use windows if you have sony vegas pro. It really depends on your preference as well as what you want to do with it.

This would be funnier if most of what he's saying are true, but they're not. Drag-n-dropping from a CD to the desktop/drive will copy the file. Windows has auto-run too, and it's easy to turn them off in both Windows and OS X. Jumping icons? Ever see endless notification from Windows update wanting to reboot your computer? Both have their pros and cons, but this video is just lame.

I have used both macs and pc's for a long time and if there is one thing that is true it is that window crashes a lot more than and apple system will. I have never had either of my macs crash on me. I have had all of my pc's crash on me tons of time. If anyone wants to save themself some trouble, spend the week it takes to learn how to really use a mac and save your self the months of headaches you will have with microsoft.

I just built a new gaming rig, for less than the cost of a Macbook Pro; and it's specs are:
Phenom II 965 BE @ 4.16Ghz
6GB DDR3 1800 PC3 14400
2x XFX Radeon HD 5870 in Crossfire
2x 150GB Raptors RAID 0
2x 1TB internal storage
23" 1920x1200 HP High Definition LCD; also I HDMI out to my Sony Bravia when I use my Xbox 360 Controller for Windows to play games when I'm chillen' on the couch/bed.
This rig absolutely murders "anything" from Apple, for <$2,000. I'm all PC, Win 7, Ubuntu Linux. :)

Also there's a video where they took a random hacker, put him onto a brand new Macbook Pro, running Leopard, and he hacked it in under 30 seconds. That's real secure... Dude you know jack about computer i see from your comment. The amd phenom2 is are the cpu's who came 1,5 years too late. An i7 running at 3,2 rapes a phenom 2 at 4,16ghz. I'm not biased against amd. Amd just has to back on it's feet again. To keep the phenom II series compatative they cut its prices drasticly. Even amd itself says the phenom is no match for i7. The p2 965 stock loses to a i7 920 stock. And your pc doesn't even come close to beating mine. I'll post again with my pcs full spec.

An i7 960 @ 3,2 is faster than a phenom 2 @ 4,2. It's not all about the mhz'. Besides the fact the nehalems are roughly 30% more efficient they run 4 threads more.
The whole point is you think you know all. When i try to say you should read more in depth articles about cpu's. you'll realise it's not so easy. I never said the phenom2 sucks. In it's price class it has few compatitors. Just the new i5 6X0 serie which has sucky mobo's.

Before making such claims, you should recognize my Cpu is running a full 1Ghz faster than yours, 2nd, it's paired up with the best DDR3 memory on the market, at the tightest timings!

But like i said i got your point. No offence but you have much to learn about hardware. Nothing against AMD. I myself have had alot of them but lately amd well... isnt up to intel's standards so i cheated on amd ;p

Now false assumptions, in your words, "I have much to learn about hardware". I'm not bragging, but I've been working with computers since '92. I got my MCSE in 1999, A+ a year before that. I have a bachelors in computer science and I'm now in grads, and you're assuming all of this about me?
I'm not trying to pull what you did, which was to just show off and inflame everyone, but trying to show you how ignorant it is to make such assumptions about people you know nothing about.

I don't say that's bad at all and you obviously know infinitely more than the normal computer user. But besides me just having finished my software engeneering study at the Technical university Delft i am a real hardware geek and believe me.
There isn't such a thing as having a master in overclocking, well not officially anyway...

I never said I was a master at overclocking, you assumed that yourself based on more egocentric presumptions. I only said what my OC was, nothing more. And, it's a fact this person said "any" i7 can defeat m
