The bike is irrelevant, the fact is, nice dry road, decent machines (both of them) very little traffic, sun shining. What's not to like? Going fast doesn't make you a hero unless you're out on the track. On the road, it's as fast as you enjoy! Obviously two bikers doing what they enjoy most. Stick with it guys.

Umm.....you obviously missed my point completely. I agree that nobody should ride outside their means. It looks to me like this person IS riding beyond their means which is unsafe. He's completely off the throttle into the corners then on the throttle 2/3 rds through it. This says to me that he is not a very experienced rider and trying to ride past his confidence level to keep up with his buddy. Is that what you call riding safely?????? Not me.

I cant speak for the VFR rider but, the dude on the RC 51 has no idea how to ride at all. Whats up with the coasting into corners with no throttle then opening the throttle mid way through the corner?? Not good!! Pick your speed before you enter the corner.....throttle as you exit. Am I wrong???
Yes, you are right and you can see him run wide when he does not roll the throttle on through the turns. Maybe he would do better if there was more of a gap between riders, so he doesn't fixate on the rider in front. Just an observation. The downshifting sucks too. He should blip the throttle to match engine speed with road speed.
